Great location and easy to find in a beautiful town with a stunning chateau.

Lovely staff and great location about a ten minute walk from town
The hotel is a little dated and the pictures suggest that the hotel is set in substantial grounds which which is not the case ... there was very little green area for our dogs away from the car park and the bar area is on a walk through ( hardly a bar) restaurant looked a little stark too but we didn't eat there. The staff were fantastic and warm and friendly though and the hotel was clean and rooms were spacious.

Conveniently placed, not far from Azay le Rideau village. Plenty of parking, gas station on the other side of the street. Friendly staff.
The pictures of the facade are better than the reality. It is a decent hotel, more appropriate for a business stay than a leisurely one. Breakfast was quite basic.

This was a great hotel for an overnight stay on the way to and from the Dordogne. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the hotel and room was air conditioned which was extremely welcome in 37 degrees, they have a car charger, welcome dogs and have a good restaurant.

Very friendly staff, good sized room with very efficient aircon. Really nice to have an onsite restaurant with freshly cooked food, a decent wine list and nice cheese board. Easy to park too.
Gardens looking rather run down- but I arrived during a heatwave. It did spoil the impression a little.

Ideally located for us on our motorbike journey to and from Morocco.
Our rooms were all clean and comfortable, appointed with all the standard facilities present. Private parking for our bikes was a plus.
The staff we met were all engaging and friendly. We ate in the restaurant, and our meals were all excellent. Breakfast was a very good buffet, and got us out and on the road happy. We would happily return and recommend.

The continental breakfast was wide and varied. Location was ideal for easy access on main routes. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The toilet was in a very small space. Otherwise everything else was OK.

Being in a wheelchair comfort and manoeuvrability is paramount the room and our hosts endeavoured to make this so.
The wifi was not the best

Located at a roundabout, 1.5 km from the village of Azay-le-Rideau and the castle. It's good to stay here for a day or two. The room has a small fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee; the toilet is separate from a tiny bathroom. Big parking lot. Breakfast was decent (coffee from a vending machine, bread, jam, salami, cheese, butter, eggs, and croissants); a set dinner is also provided, which was fine. Across the street is a shopping centre with a large Carrefour supermarket, an eatery, a pharmacy, and a gas station.
The room was small and you could hear the noise from the nearby street. After showering, the bathroom was steamy and unpleasantly damp, as were the towels, which didn't dry at all. The next day we had to use the wet towels again. The hair dryer didn't work. The internet connection in our room was annoyingly slow. Power outlet only on one side of the bed.

Easy to find. Close to the centre of Azay le Rideau with its nice castle. Ok to stay only one night. The availibility of a car parking.
The hotel is missing charm. The interior, the lighting (white neon), the restaurant and the rooms are cool and without a soul. Warm light should do already a lot. Just a hotel for on the way....Unfortunately two preferred and pre-selected restaurants were closed on Thursday. So we stayed for diner at the hotel. One had to decide to stay eating at night prior to 5 p.m.. There was only a menu with limited choice. The menu changes daily and can only be consulted on the day itself. Partner selected fish as main course which seemed to be OK. The 'roti de veau" was seemly 'cooked' and without any taste. Limited vegetables on the plate. Had dreamed of a good meal after visiting castles...A big disappointment. The breakfast was simple.

Easy to find. Quite accessible from main north - south autoroute. Good location. Plenty of parking. 10-15 mins walk to centre of historic village & Chateau. Quiet. Close to supermarket and filling station. Rooms reasonable. Looked like new heating/air con had recently been installed (not needed for our stay). Good food - evening meal had limited choice, but good quality. Decent continental breakfast. Excellent English spoken at reception, and very welcoming. Hotel recommended as a stop in the area.
Some areas looked a little tired.

Very comfortable beds and pillows! very welcoming owner, nice staff. The parrrot whose name I can’t remember - apologies, steals the show. we only stayed for one night but very convenient for the chateaux.

staff helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the dinners especially the presentation with vegetables and purees
The private terrace was a bonus
It was not a problem but from the photos did not expect the hotel to be situated on a major road complex

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Azay-le-Rideau with plenty of parking. Excellent evening meals in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious
Some of the decor was a little tired and in need of a freshen up.

There is a room for bicycles. Enough parking places even for e-cars if you need.
Quiet neighbourhood
The room was clean
The owner of the hotel, Philippe, was very friendly to us, for this we are very grateful.
Since all the bars and restaurants aren't close by, you can have dinner and a glass of wine directly at the hotel, if you order it in advance. However, we highly recommend the Fast food restaurant across the street - cheap, tasty, big portions and friendly personal.
Far from the sights. The hotel is on a hill, so it's not for everybody easy to get to by bike.
You can't sit in the restaurant with your friends, tables are only for 2 persons! And you can only eat in the restaurant; when we asked to sit at a table at least next to our friends for a glass of wine, we were recommended to drink in the corridor. Btw, the restaurant was empty.
During Check-In we were only spoken to in French, what was an issue for us. But when an unfriendly conversation about the restaurant began, we were denied any access to the restaurant in perfect English and even in Russian. Why is the mention of languages important? Because at first we thought the unfriendliness problem was due to translation problems. But unfriendly was communication in all languages
Later, when we were finally able to meet with friends (in the corridor, of course) and quietly discuss the day, we were told (this time only in Russian, however only one of us understands it) to whisper because the rooms near to the corridor had called reception and complained about the noise. I'm sorry, is this really a three star hotel or a Soviet children's camp with bedtime at 10pm?
PS: I re-read the hotel's responses to the negative reviews about the hotel design, about the lift (I can only join these comments, although it was not a problem for us), about the restaurant (can't judge as I didn't eat there) and was once again convinced of the unfriendliness :( Please feel free to write "wenn Sie nicht wollen, kommen Sie nicht zurück"

Stayed at the hotel on an overnight stop and to visit Azay-Le-Rideau. Hotel is easy to find and has a large car park. Nice clean room which thankfully had aircon. Friendly staff speak English if required. Really nice evening meal and a buffet breakfast the next morning.
The hotel is on the edge of town so its a 10-15 min walk into the centre
No issues.

We always get a warm welcome when staying here and nothing is too much trouble.
The food is absolutely wonderful, with fresh produce from the garden,be it herbs, vegetables or edible flowers to decorate the food.
Produce is fresh and locally sourced to provide a perfect menu!
