This is a unique accommodation with a great host!

The location was very good: a several minutes’ easy walk into the heart of the village. The room was unique: a repurposed troglodytic cave fully renovated with room comforts including a huge shower, double sink vanity, TV, kitchenette. The host is excellent. He provides a very good traditional french breakfast, along with pleasant conversation and advice on sites to see that I had not previously considered.

There was no wifi in the bedroom. Guests must go to the breakfast room for wifi use. This was only mildly inconvenient and provided the opportunity to have a cup of tea while on line. So, not a big deal really.

Quirky and very comfortable. Easy to find, very friendly welcome, convenient to walk into town, great facilities. The room faces south with an outside seating area. We only stayed one night but would like to have stayed longer.

It smells a little damp, but no more than would be expected. The access is tight in a larger car, but OK.

A different experience

The property was different, being in a cave and was very well done. It had a small kitchenette, handy for making a hot drink or a light meal. The rooms were very spacious and the outdoor seating area was good.

The access to the room was a bit untidy and the rooms weee a bit damp.

The room was built into the rock and it was beautifully restored and decorated. It was large and excellently equipped with a small kitchenette area, a seating area. The shower was huge. It was a really unique place to stay.

Unique experience sleeping inside a cave.

The room was exceptional, had everything we needed and such a unique experience to sleep in a cave. The decor was oriental-style with a feint delicate scent of joss-stick in the background. Absolutely delightful. Our host was very helpful and friendly and clearly proud of the work he has it in not create this superb accommodation.

That we only booked one night at this lovely place.

Superb

The cottages are unique, quiet, and comfortable. They are cleverly renovated storage caves below an old manor house. Our room had a double bed and a single, with a large and beautiful bathroom plus a handy kitchenette. we also had a private garden area with lounge chairs and a private patio with table and chairs. It was a great place to relax and rest. We enjoyed the large continental breakfast for an extra cost. The hosts were welcoming and quick to communicate. we highly recommend this stay.

Something a little bit different, but an excellent place to stay.

Interesting and rather quirky place. It really is a cave. A very warm welcome. Very clean and well presented. You have a small terrace plus a small lawn with sun loungers. Inside a small kitchen area and a fridge is very handy. Private and safe parking. Dog friendly. Highly recommended. Close to the town - 10 minute walk.

Nothing serious that would put us off visiting again. We missed the entrance - it is up a track about 30 m after the exit sign for the village. It's a personal thing but we would prefer a door to the bathroom and toilet for a bit more privacy, but being a cave with only windows at the front I guess that ventilation would be hard if more enclosed.

Interesting stay in a cave but not again

The bathroom was huge! The room itself was nice . I had expected it to be dark inside but it felt quite light and bright. The owners seemed like very nice people.

The room was very damp and the bedding felt wet. The bed itself was too soft. The outdoor furniture was in rough shape and should be replaced. For the price breakfast should have been included. It cost an extra 16 euro

Absolutely recommend this perfect hideaway or stopover!

We loved our stay! The perfect stop heading back to Paris. Peaceful, and very comfortable. Excellent meals, both dinner and also the thoughtful breakfast. The owners were very friendly and welcoming! Suitable for couples or families. I wish we could have stayed for longer than one night to explore the village, and especially to take more time in the garden and nature in front of our room. We are from Australia, however live in Paris. I would recommend for tourists, and also those looking to get away from Paris for a long weekend!

We really enjoyed our time in this wonderful and charming troglo appartment. Everything was nicely designed and very romantic. The small kitchen was great and really useful. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom excellent. Every appartment has a little terrace and garden with a nice view. The owners are wonderful and welcomed us with great hospitality, explained a lot about the place and made us feel very much at home. We wished we would have had more time.

Une expérience humaine

Très bonnes relations avec Philippe, très à l'écoute, car je lui avais dit que j'avais un régime sans gluten pour le petit déjeuner, il avait tout prévu; il m'a même offert le reste de biscuits et de pain qu'il avait prévu. Le jardin près des appartements est très beau, petit bémol pour les choses qui traînent dans le jardin juste à l'entrée, mais bon c'est la campagne.

C'est juste une impression personnelle qui n'engage que moi; j'ai voulu essayer un hébergement insolite, et l'appartement troglodyte y répondait tout à fait, sauf que j'avais oublié que c'était un lieu humide par définition. Cela ne remet pas en cause l'accueil de Philippe.

Un posto diverso dal solito

LA stanza scavata nella roccia è un mini-appartamento completo di soggiorno e angolo cottura. Molto scenografico e molto caratteristico, l'appartamento è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Comodo e piacevole il fatto di avere un area rela esterna con tavolo sedie e sdraio sul prato. Per chi viaggia in bici è una soluzione molto comoda. Ottima la colazione preparata dal proprietario Non ci sono ristoranti da raggiungere a piedi Per ritornare verso il paese c'è una breve salita da affrontare (1 km)

La stanza scavata nella roccia è un pò umida, ottima per chi viaggia d'estate. Biancheria da letto da migliorare
