Something different to stay in for a business trip, great location for our needs. Ideal also for a Holiday trip to explore the local area along the canal.

We just loved it! We have been to Ireland before, just not outside Dublin. We loved staying in Sallins, just a 30 minute train ride from Dublin, and was much more quiet and cosy. (Not really comparable but anyways…) Staying on this houseboat was oh so lovely. Spacious! The weather was unexpectedly warm and sunny our whole stay (3nights) and we could sit on top of the roof with a glass of wine in the evenings. We did the Barge trip with the boat located just next ”door” which we also really recommend. Great way to see the surroundings in a unique way - the skipper was very friendly and full of knowledge, he answered all our questions.
Ger, the owner, was very welcoming and gave us valuable information about amentities of the boat and local information good to know.
Great wifi, great to wake up with swans outside your window, great pubs and a gastropub on the opposide of the Canal (3min slow walk), close cafées and eat-in/take-away places and very close to the train station.
We Will definately return!

The houseboat was very quirky.
Beds were very comfortable.
Fantastic location.
Ger was a fantastic host.
Plenty of reasonably priced takeaways and lock 13 bar and restaurant just across the road with amazing food and entertainment.

Great location to train station for Dublin. The barge was amazing, and everything in it. Local pubs and shop. Very peaceful. Thanks for your hospitality, Ger. Will definitely be back. Happy customer from Scotland 🏴
