Excellent location for us. In close proximity to the saunas and Bective tea rooms. Plus pizza and pub up the road which I intend to try next time.

Proper was lovely. The sofa bed took a bit of working out and not very comfortable. Pillows kept falling through the gap. I think the few changes I would make are, better quality bedding pillows etc and some tiny things like milk to go with tea and coffee provided and perhaps a small microwave, air fryer and hair dryer. I feel for little money you could upgrade these pod massively to top notch.

Could Be a Wonderful Spot – But Needs Serious Cleaning and Attention

This part of Meath is really lovely. The setting for the site is great and only a short drive to Navan.

Bective Mill Glamping is set in a beautiful location just a short drive from Navan, offering a site with great potential. The glamping pods are a fantastic idea, and the natural surroundings add to the charm. However, the site is in serious need of cleaning, maintenance, and general attention. The pod we stayed in had a nice design but clearly required a deep clean both inside and out. The decking area also needed washing and repainting, and the outdoor furniture, particularly the garden seats, was extremely dirty—despite being the type that's easy to maintain with a simple weekly rinse. The gravel around the pods was overgrown with weeds, making the area appear neglected, and the BBQ and parking areas also required weeding and tidying. Exploring the grounds, including the Mill and what seemed to be a communal campers’ kitchen, I was genuinely shocked at the state of disrepair. Graffiti marked part of the Mill—a simple fix that had been ignored. The contrast between the well-kept grassy camping area and the neglected surrounding spaces was stark. Customer service was notably lacking; we arrived on a Friday and left on Sunday without ever being greeted or checked in on. The mobile home that appears to serve as reception was uninviting and not clearly staffed, leaving us unsure of who to approach if needed. Having camped and glamped all over Ireland, I found that Bective Mill Glamping fell well short of the standard expected. One other issue to note is the hot box sauna, which brings in many outside visitors throughout the day and evening. This made the car park near the pods busy and detracted from the sense of relaxation. In summary, Bective Mill Glamping has the potential to be a wonderful retreat in a beautiful setting. However, it currently falls short due to the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and minimal guest engagement.

Was such a beautiful location, so peaceful and very comfortable and clean in the pods. So nice to be by the river as well and use the sauna. Very friendly staff.

The grass area had a lot of dog poo so my daughter couldn’t really run around and play Barbecue was used on the first day and didn’t get cleaned. We just reused it on the second day

It’s not that I didn’t like it but the property is expensive for 1 night.. ( it’s not a full 24 hours on the location) also no facilities for recycling.

It was a grand cabin very clean and modern

The site was very unkept old skip boarded up mill very unsightly hot tub nonexistent I know it was February but they weren't ready for guests ..had issue where we had no choice but to leave in middle of night .the staff next day very understanding and apologetic got full refund thankfully

A cozy stay but needs work

The A-frame Hut number 1 was super, exactly like the photos and was very cozy. The board games in the room was a nice touch.

The surrounding area could have been more looked after, the area is quite run down. No one met us on arrival and our key was just left in the door. A welcome would have been a nice touch to our stay. The wifi also did not work which meant we had no wifi and we didn't have any phone signal (meaning we couldn't order in dinner). Which isn't the worst in the world but wifi should not be advertised.

Ideal short stY for Newgrange.

We booked as near as we could to Newgrange World Unesco Site. They allowed dogs which is not easy in this area. The site was interesting with a burnt down mill, saunas and hot tubs and yoga centre. The chalet was a little small for an over 70ies couple with a sheepdog but one of the staff looked after our dog while we visited Newgrqnge for qhich we are very grateful. Lovely grounds and a real community feel to it. Plenty of pubs nearby for food and Navan and Trim nearby for visits. Bective Abbey a stones throw away and highly atmospheric.

A bit small. No shower tray so a bit like a wet room.

We loved our stay and it was a little adventure for our girls.

They were clean comfortable we would have stayed longer . We spent one night in chalet 2 and we were beyond impressed. Everything was brand new and spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend

Exceptional

The pod was very cosy, comfortable and clean. During my stay I met with Oliver and Amy and they were both very welcoming. Nero the dog also came to say hello and he is a lovely big dote! The sauna and hot tub facilities are wonderful sitting right on the River Boyne, it just adds to the magic of Bective Glamping (be sure to book ahead if you want to use this facility as it is REALLY popular with day trippers). I loved the rustic vibe in this place. A gem of a spot.

There was nothing I didn't like. This place is awesome. But from what I can see there are only two pods on site. I wish there were more pods available because I worry about availability if I ever want to stay again.

Lovely friendly staff in a fab location with first class accommodation

This accommodation was booked for my daughter and husband. They loved every minute of their stay and could not fault it. It was quiet and picturesque, staff were very helpful, the ideal location for a stay in the area.

A great time in a great place. We loved it.

Everything. A more relaxed and easy going place would be hard to find. The pod is fantastic. A big lawn out front for games and play and a big black lab to make you feel sorry for him. (Dont feed him) Our pod (No.1) was the smaller of the 2 and was grand for my young fella and myself. There would be room for another adult and child in it but it could be tight. Pod 2 looks a good bit bigger from the outside.

Great little find

The glamping A frame was amazing, so spacious, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was stunning. My kids loved the large grassy area in front and played there all day! We absolutely adored Nero the owners dog who would dander about the grounds.

It was a very unique experience. The place was very modern and quaint. Although we were secluded we felt safe as well as being very close to Trim and Navan.

Only downside was the awkward attic stairs to get upstairs that was just a little hard to manoeuvre but wouldn’t put me off coming back.

La mia esperienza in questo pod è stata purtroppo molto negativa. Già dall’esterno la struttura appariva trascurata: ragnatele ovunque e un aspetto generale di abbandono. L’intero campeggio dava l’impressione di non essere curato, più simile a un campo improvvisato che a una struttura ricettiva. All’interno la situazione non migliora: gli spazi erano gestiti male, con un soppalco improvvisato in cui un materasso era semplicemente appoggiato a terra, sotto un soffitto infestato da ragni e ragnatele. Le tende della porta d’ingresso erano macchiate da numerosi insetti morti schiacciati, mentre il lampadario era ricoperto da uno spesso strato di polvere, segno evidente della mancanza di pulizia. Nel complesso, il livello di igiene e manutenzione era inesistente e non rispecchia minimamente gli standard minimi per un soggiorno confortevole. Una grande delusione: sconsiglio vivamente questa struttura a chiunque cerchi un alloggio pulito e accogliente. Infine, la cosa più “divertente” è che tra tutti le location in cui ho soggiornato in Irlanda, questa è stata l’unica ad essere terribile e la più costosa. Staff inesistente.

We zullen accommodatie niet aanraden.

Met de landelijke ligging van de locatie van de Bective Mill aan een soort van watertje is opzich niet zoveel mis. Het heeft wellicht potentie, maar niet zoals het nu gaat, eruit ziet.

De locatie is vreselijk rommelig bij een zeer oude vervallen watermolen. Je denkt dat je in het hippie tijdperk bent beland, overal bbq's voor algemeen gebruik onder een partytent. De receptie lijkt gebouwd uit pallets. Zeker niet uitnodigend. Er staan hier en daar caravans die waarschijnlijk verhuurd worden. Op het terrein staan containers met daarin een sauna genaamd de Hot Box. We waren blij dat we er niet in het weekend waren, want op de door de weekse dagen in de avond kwamen er al vele bezoekers met auto's van elders. Deze bezoekers stonden zich buiten om te kleden. Het groene glamping onderkomen van ons was warm, onze 2 puber kinderen sliepen boven in de krappe nok. Te bereiken via een in te klappen vlizotrap. Geen airco. Gelukkig was er een dakraam en ventilator. Wij sliepen beneden op een slaapbank met weinig comfort. De afvoer van de keuken raakte verstopt. Badkamer was redelijk oké. Een gastheer/vrouw hebben we niet gezien. De plaatjes zien er op papier prachtig uit, maar de praktijk is anders. Deze accommodatie was tijdens onze vakantie het duurste, maar ook het slechtste. Verhouding prijs kwaliteit zeker niet goed, erg jammer. We waren gelukkig overdag weg dingen bezoeken, want op het terrein waren weinig activiteiten te doen.

Pire nuit de notre road trip. On arrive dans une "maison en A", prévenus dans l'après midi qu'on aurait pas d'eau chaude. Effectivement la douche était gelée dans une salle de bain humide sentant le moisi. On a fait chauffer de l'eau dans des casseroles sales comme si on avait pas payé 160€. Une employée est venue nous donner un billet de 50€ en "dédommagement" sans rien dire de plus, c'était bizarre. Nos voisins avaient pris notre mobilier d'extérieur, ils ont fait beaucoup de bruit jusque tard, les logements sont mal isolés. Les deux matelas sont de mauvaise qualité, si vous voulez dormir sur le lit en haut il faut vraiment aimer la chaleur. Le site n'est pas agréable, on dirait que ça n'est pas fini. Bref, l'hôtel 3 étoiles pas loin n'est que 20€ plus cher. L'avantage c'est qu'on s'est levés très tôt !
