Sinead was an amazing host, she welcomed us with open arms and even put on the kettle for a cup of tea when we arrived which marked a nice way to end a long journey from the west coast of Ireland. Breakfast in the morning was amazing and them Scones were Delicious would definitely be back for more. Location was perfect and having the yard animals around you felt like you were on a little retreat, and a B and B like that will always beat a Hotel stay.

Sinead is a wonderful host. Her home is very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed her ducks, hens and their beautiful chicks.

Talk about great first impressions! As we pulled into the parking area of this adorable, vine covered Georgian Country House, Sinead came out to greet us. She showed us to our room on the first floor of the guest wing and gave us a tour around the property. We met daughter Kate and were also introduced to Stephen the drake and admired his harem of ducks. This is a working farm, complete with horses, cows and chickens! Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Breakfast is served in an old stone room that exudes character and charm. Sinead and her family clearly have restored this Georgian farm with love and integrity. The B&B's location just outside of Oldcastle, County Meath, makes it perfect home-base for exploring the very historic Boyne Valley (Newgrange, Loughcrew, Hill of Tara, Trim Castle, etc.) as well as fly fishing for Ireland's wild brown trout in the River Boyne. a great first or last night in Ireland if you are flying through the Dublin airport. We will definitely return
