Nanny Quinn's Apartment

Extremely comfortable, well finished and equipped. Quiet location with nice view over the canal. Extra touches, such as bread, milk , cheese make all the difference.

The location is perfect, the apartment above the pub (no longer in operation) is roomy and we felt right at home. We didn’t meet our host but she answered all the many questions and history I had about the building through messages. She recommend places to visit and my family and I were amazed to learn about all of historic sites, parks and ruins in the area. We drove to Croghan Hill (extinct volcano) and walked up to enjoy the 360 degree views on a clear and beautiful day. With the apartment being right in the canal, there were walking/biking paths and an old famine trail I discovered across the canal. I discovered (too late) there is a pub 3 min drive from the apartment or you can walk along the canal. The topper was food our host left for us in the fridge. This was so thoughtful and appreciated and beyond our expectations. A very comfortable stay and welcoming host. Book it if you are in the area!

Lovely spacious apartment right by the canal. Very comfortable and everything you needed was there. Nice comfortable beds with crisp linen. We arrived to a nice note and a bottle of wine 😌. There were also some ham, cheese, bread & milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Good communication from host.

It was a shame the bar & restaurant is now closed.
