Our previous trips to Ireland were typical 10 day excursions. At the end of the trip we always felt rushed and wishing we could stay longer. This trip was the one where we allowed ourselves to linger. Eva and Fred’s cottage provided the perfect home base for this vacation. The cottage is very close to Lough Ree, very quiet and comfortable. Nearby towns, Lanesborough and Athlone have all the supplies you will need to stock the house. The house is well stocked with amenities needed for an extended stay. The wi-fi worked flawlessly allowing anyone who needs to stay connected the ability to do so easily. The bedroom’s are comfortable with plenty of closet space. Bathrooms are clean and well designed for travelers. I could go on for quite a while but will end here. Anyone looking for a relaxing getaway cottage won’t go wrong here.

The bungalow was wonderful,spotless near the end of Loch Ree .the only thing you need to remember is that most shops are 15 to 20 minutes drive so you need to buy provisions on the way

Great experience. I should have done a little more research on location. It is remote and takes some C time to get to the nearest news agent or large village. Amenities are great and as described.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, toll eingerichtet und ausgestattet mit einer tollen, herzlichen Gastgeberin, die immer hilfsbereit ist. Danke Eva! Was Reisende allerdings beachten sollten: Keine Angst vor Autofahrten selbst für die kleinste Kleinigkeit. Hier gibt es Ruhe pur. Gut für Touren in die irischen Gegenden. Für Fahrten von und nach Dublin sollte man "all in" knapp zwei Stunden einrechnen. Aber wer wirklich entspannen möchte: Perfekt!
