Amazing!

Location, facilities, views, wildlife, loads of space, Slane is awesome, stove in yurt. Beds awesome.

The amount of rules and guides sent by email! Thousands and thousands of words. Completely get the need for education but lots was duplicate and we only booked the day before we stayed so felt a bit overwhelming. They also have huge lead times on things like pizzas if you want to order them (five days!) so you can't avail off you book on short notice. We loved it this is just general feedback!

Second visit back to this fabulous farm

This was our second visit this summer to Rock farm we loved it so much. We had told friends about the farm and they decided to join us on our second visit there. We had a great time and the kids loved the natural pool as did the adults!

Missed the stove in our yurt this time but we did have our own bathroom in our yurt which was so handy especially for the kids during the night

Perfect rural stay

The setting is absolutely perfect and there is plenty of space between each unit. We stayed in a shepherd hut which was clean and cosy. I had such a good sleep, drifting off to the sound of the crows settling in the trees. The facilities are excellent for a rustic stay and exceeded my expectations.

Camping in comfort

Everything you need is there , friendly staff. Loved the outdoor pool and the hot tub, and most of all our yurt was so cozy , we had our own little fire pit. The communal kitchen has everything you need. Was very relaxing. Would definitely do it again

I like the location the peace and the hole nature scenery

The pod we stayed in was to old. It was kinda to old the cabinet draws would barely open. Lack of storage space. To many fly and ear wigs. The toilets didn't get cleaned from Friday to Sunday. Grass was cut but grass was not collected.

Glamping

I liked how enchanted the room looked. It was very clean and comfortable. It was my first time glamping with my girlfriend and been out in nature away from busy city life it was just amazing so peaceful and relaxing. The jacuzzi was probably best we had a great laugh together made us more closer.

Very isolated and remote location. No information about toilets. Not safe for a solo traveller. Badly signposted. Tiny cabin and too expensive for what was provided.

Peaceful clean with plenty of space for the kids.

Had a lovely stay at Rock farm Slane. We stayed in Hazel yurt and it overlooked Slane castle. Excellent location. Peaceful and clean. The beds were so comfortable. Lots of wildlife around the farm. Rabbits - Pheasants. The farm pigs if you go looking. Good facilities with plenty of space. Has all mod cons. Showers and toilet facilities are modern and clean. You have to try the outdoor hot tub and a dip in the natural pool. Lovely hosts who always answer the phone.

I have stayed here 4 times already and il always go back as it's only half hour from my home

It's a little peace of heaven so peaceful in the most beautiful country side .Lots of different options of accommodation from a house to little huts yurts and bell tents'hot tubs saunas man made wee pool 'pizza oven .Beautiful scenery

There could be more lights down by apple and shepards hut it's very dark when your trying to go to the toilet and maybe some bins down there be great.

The serenity of the place and River walk and also overlooking the Slane Castle.

There are electric fences with no warning signs and no direct route going to Slane Castle. You need to go back to the main road by car or walk going to Castle if you need to explore around the Castle.

The location was stunning, the Shepherds huts were well spaced out so you felt you had some privacy

I locked myself out of the yurt at 4 am whilst making a visit to the toilet block 😔 there was nobody on site to let me back in as my phone was inside the yurt that had a Yale lock

The place is incredible, very quiet, stunning views, perfect to disconnect from the city, it was a great experience. The space inside was enough for me, the kitchen and common spaces had whichever that I needed.

Fantastic hidden gem

A gorgeous farm / grounds to hike and explore or sit back, relax and enjoy nature from your accommodation. La shack offers everything you would need for a country style kitchen, just pop to the garage for grocery’s or bring some from home to cook a nice diner or BBQ. A gorgeous break away from all the hustle and bustle. Plenty to do in the area or travel into Drogheda city centre for shopping centre, cinema, water park ect, 20 or so minutes away.

Cosying up in between April Showers in Slane

It was overall a very nice stay. Highlight was roasting marshmallows over a campfire and dipping into the hot tub. The campsite grounds are lovely. The yurt was comfortable and cosy. We were off-peak in April so it got very chilly in the evenings, but we kept a fire going and were generally fine overnight. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Only disadvantage is that there is only one common area for glamping so it can get pretty busy if there are a few groups. The kitchen / common area is very well kitted out, but in high demand. We were traveling with a dog and dogs aren't meant to be in the common area. If the weather isn't great, you don't have any other alternative indoor places apart from the yurt to hang out. And since food isn't permitted in the sleeping areas, your alternatives onsite become very limited. There are plenty of picnic benches around, but having another covered area where dogs are allowed would be a good idea.

I was in a wheeled cabin and suffice it to say, it was well worn and best described as shabby. The nearest toilet was closed, so a 200 yard uphill walk required for the toilet. The site was too far to walk into town. Instead of putting 'slippery surface' signs on various steps, do something about it (non slip treads).

High quality Glamping site with great amenities.

Great starting point for Glamping. The Shepards Hut was very warm and comfortable. The showers were very impressive and the toilets were inspected/cleaned multiple times during my stay. Has a lot of home comforts and set in beautiful scenery.

We had a wonderful time with a wonderful view and nice and cosy accommodation. The explanation of how to get to the cabin was sufficient. Helpful staff even though we didn't see them.
