Rock Farm Slane - Glamping

The property was in a beautiful setting, it was comfortable, well organised and the owners and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

The bathrooms, showers and shepherds huts would have benefitted from more hooks for hanging towels etc, and shelves for toiletries where possible. Also the kitchen would have benefited from more utensils and cookware for self catering. But these were only minor issues - overall the property was perfect and we loved it!

We stayed in the Hazel yurt, its was much bigger than we expected and the beds were genuinely so comfortable. We all had the best night sleep ever!!

There was no curtain on the door to cover the window, I personally wouldnt mind but with having kids with us, we would have liked the privacy.

The communication from the team beforehand was very good making checking in easy. The distance between each hut and pod was great, making the camp feel really remote. The communal areas were clean and well equipped with everything that you need. Great kitchen and comfy area, fab showers, clean toilets. Lots of wildlife to sit and watch. We stayed in one of the Shepherd Huts (Pine) and it was really comfy.

Nothing really although a guide sheet (run through) of facilities on the site and surrounding area attractions would be helpful we think. We had done a lot of research before and we’re basing here to visit Newgrange, but think a laminated info sheet would still be useful in the huts etc. Other than that, it is glamping- you need to be prepared to walk to the facilities and accept the basic aspect, for us we thought it was really great and a welcome two nights in a bigger bed than our campervan whilst touring the Republic of Ireland.

I like the location the peace and the hole nature scenery

The pod we stayed in was to old. It was kinda to old the cabinet draws would barely open. Lack of storage space. To many fly and ear wigs. The toilets didn't get cleaned from Friday to Sunday. Grass was cut but grass was not collected.
