Comfortable apartments on lovely working stud farm

I booked two of the 2BR apartments for myself and 3 adult sons at the end of December. We really enjoyed our stay - and only wish it could have been longer (it was at the end of our trip to Ireland)! The apartments are clean and comfortable and charming (I think they are renovated staff accommodations). When we came in I noticed that the tables were set with glasses, napkins and I think plates and tableware, which was a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable with wonderful, cozy comforters. The bathrooms were clean, with heated towel bars and one of the nicest showers I have used in a while! Bective Stud Apartments are on a working horse farm and we saw horses in the pens in the morning, which was a real treat. The horse barn is behind the apartments as are some staff accommodations I believe (one of the staff directed me to the correct driveway since I pulled into the wrong one!). Bective Stud is on a fairly rural road outside of Trim, a cute town with an impressive castle about 10 minutes away. The Hill of Tara and Newgrange and other sites are all fairly close by (10-20 mins). We didn't see the owners in person but the check-in instructions were clear and the owners were responsive when we had questions. I would have liked to stay longer to try the Tea Room on the property. Next time! We drove to Dublin Airport from the apartments and it was an easy, 35-40 minute drive. The apartments and the area were a nice way to end our trip to Ireland. I would definitely stay here again.

The only hiccups we had were that the wi-fi in one of the apartments (Queens Brook) was a bit spotty and some of the outlets in the other apartment (Apples Jade) didn't work. However, the owners were very responsive.

Absolutely amazing

Every ting surrounding staff the isolation it's just fantastic will use again very soon. My job is very demanding and I don't get holidays and when I do get a brake I'm to tired to travel far and just to have that bit of peace and stillness just even that one night give me the rest i need. I love seclusion and quit space many thanks for given me that. I may only live in kells but that brake to me was a little tast of heaven.

When booking again if there was a stand alone unit would be fantastic but not essential I love the stud and will use again hopefully for a 2 night stay the next time work load pending

Good place to stay if you’re visiting Trim and Navan.

Clean, well maintained, nice location and easy parking. Very clear instructions on accessing the property.

Could have done with a setee downstairs (there was a table and four chairs), but I appreciate that the available space wasn’t enough for that. Only one toilet roll was provided

Loved the autumn walk around the well manicured garden and parkland.

The Bective Tearoom was delightful and food beautifully prepared and presented and was very convenient to the stud apartments. Highly recommended, however, the apartment was well equipped for self-catering.

Very nice for what we needed it for

We stayed in the Queens Brook apartment and it was exceptional! So clean and we had tea and coffee facilities as well. The check in was so smooth and all instructions crystal clear.

There were 3 of us and unfortunately the hot water ran out after the first two had a shower so I would say time your showers accordingly (unless we missed where the water could be heated). The WiFi signal is pretty weak as well.

Very nice!

Stylish apartment on a beautiful stud, close to Trim. Our group of two couples really enjoyed our stay. TVs in the bedrooms were nice to have. Great shower. Mattresses were a bit thin, but no other complaints. Recommended!

A bit tough to find the apartment once in the grounds... colored doors look identical in the dark.

Great central location in the Boyne Valley. Lovely apartment in a totally refurbished stable building on the farm. Great breakfast at their Tea Room.

The apartment did not have any real living space. Bed, bath and kitchen is defintely better than a hotel room, and perfect for a couple of nights, but I would look for a place with more space if I were staying for a week - which we weren't, so no issue. Some of the apartments may have more space, not sure, but this was the only one available.

Beautiful setting. It literally is in the middle of the stud farm so lots to see and do. Nice location with a cafe also within walking distance.

Magical place to stay, loved it, didn’t want to leave!

The relaxing ambience, beautiful gardens and walks and the apartments decor was superb. Could have stayed longer. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

It’s hard to think of anything we didn’t like. It’s a working stud farm so expect some noise early in the morning, however I just loved watching everyone getting on with it, it’s what makes this place so special and the staff are wonderful.

Beautiful property no amenities or activities for families

Beautiful setting on a horse ranch, newly renovated apartment

Place was advertised in the photos having a living room. There was no place to sit other than on the bed or a dining room chair extremely small apartment really made for one person not even room to put your bags in the bedroom. We have to leave them in the kitchen downstairs. also we were hoping that there would be some type of horse experience to meet the horses for the kids but we never saw anyone the entire time we were there we weren’t even permitted to go in the barn to look at the horses, far from any restaurants no place to purchase water or have breakfast there. Bed was extremely saggy.

Great location but the apartments need work.

The location was great and the on site coffee shop superb.

The properties are tired and could do with some updating. The paintwork is pretty knocked about and the carpets needs replacing. There is a smell of vomit in one of the bedrooms in Applejack that needs addressing. Also a general smell of drains in this apartment that reed diffusers and plug in air fresheners fail to mask. Finally, some bedrooms have no mirrors or bedside tables which are a necessity for comfort.

Very clean accommodation in a superb setting. The outdoor areas were fantastic. Nice decor. Easy check in. Good communication.
