Great place, I choose it everytime I come to Trieste

A great place to stay, especially during the mid-low season when the price is more affordable. Its my second time in the hotel and I would come back for sure. Location, staff, rooms, all very good.

Well, I spent the Halloween night, so the streets were too noisy. It is not the hotel's fault, but just to bear in mind.

Not the best choice...

The staff was really kind and helpful all the time. Breakfast okay. Location close to the centre is great.

Bed was totally worn out, uncomfortable and short. Rooms are very noisy, refrigerator makes a lot of noise as well. Shower was not really clean. WiFi was not constantly working in my room. And: If you have heavy lagguage take care because you need to lift all of that up a long staircase to reach the hotel!

Pleasant hotel

A pleasant hotel, in a communicative location in the heart of Trieste.

The price per night was high for the amenities the rooms offered. I assume it was inflated because there was an event in town on the day of our stay and there was increased demand for accommodations.

Everything exceeded expectations: great position, spotless clean, great comfort despite the historical building (win win). The only reason I can imagine for it having only one star in the Italian hotel ranking system is accessibility, which is indeed limited due to city structure.

The location was in a historical part of Trieste which was very interesting. The facilities were good.

Only one chair in the room and you couldn't really sit out on the balcony as there was no furniture there.

Can't comment on breakfast - we went to a local cafe. Location is fantastic if you want to see Trieste. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Its location is great but the price you pay is that you have to park some distance from the hotel. This was clear at the time of booking, so I have no complaints. If you do go here, its probably better not to bring any large heavy bags into he hotel unless you want a workout lifting them up 57 steps from the car park. We got round this by leaving big bags in the car (the car park appears safe) and just taking small bags into the hotel.

Perfect hideaway in Trieste

Cosy room tucked away, with a huge bed and very clean. We were delighted with the room. Hotel staff were so helpful to facilitate remote check in as we arrived late.

Minor bathroom issues: - light over hand basin not working - hand basin plug couldn’t be closed, so basin couldn’t be filled Not indicated in booking.com listing: - whole hotel is closed 12:00-14:00, not just reception - breakfast is only sweet things, which I can’t eat

Hotel is in really good location close to city center and it’s very clean.

Really good localisation but difficult approach with car..

The wall of the rooms thin and over hear any noise. From the upper level all noise came down. All stepping all talking, really everything heard perfectly. 😟

A great weekend stay!

The hotel is close to everything you'd want to visit in Trieste, it's also very easy to find as you get detailed instructions once you book. Due to unforseen circumstances with our chosen transport, we had a very late arrival, but the staff were very accommodating and helpful and arranged for a very easy late check-in. In general, the staff were great - attentive and helpful. The room we were in was very comfortable and clean. The beds were great, we slept very well! If we ever come back to Trieste, we know where to go! :) Grazie, All'Arco!

A simple, basic hotel in a good location.

The hotel has a very good location. It is easy to reach by foot from the train station. All'Arco is located in a very unique, historic, scenic spot in Trieste. It is surrounded by the Roman arch, the ancient church sitting below the hotel and the basilica church right next door, and the castle, and church situated not too far above the church. The Roman theater is just down the hill from the hotel. Most of the main sights of Trieste are easy to reach by foot. The rooms are comfortable, and adequate in size, but far from luxurious. The person at reception and breakfast was friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was very basic; croissant,coffee, juice, and yogurt. It was served in the reception room and felt fairly cramped. The person serving breakfast did his best, but I think having another person helping or having self-service would be beneficial. For anyone with physical disabilities this hotel would be hard to reach.
