Hôtel du Grand Lac Excelsior

Friendly and helpful staff, the location and that it was an old hotel. The air conditioner was welcome and unexpected! The garden access with table and chairs was fantastic. We didn’t have breakfast but heard it was very good!

My mattress had mould (it was sinking in the middle so I wanted to turn it around and was sorry I looked ) Definitely need new mattresses! They only had a soap/shampoo one for all, no body cream or any of the things you would expect in a 4 star. They did have sewing kit, shoe shiner etc, slippers . We found a bunch of cobwebs (not a big deal but I didn’t like them) only 3 coffee pods and one creamer for the stay …

Fantastic lake view from the room. Bedroom was massive, plenty of space for suitcases and lovely little balcony. Bed was very comfy and lovely air conditioning.

The people in the room next door were out on their balcony talking by very loudly - shouting at times- from 5am.

The view is exceptional

It is a 3 stars at best - Room very basic, no sound proof system, we could hear TV of our neighbors and when they were talking on their balcony or when they shut the door of their bathroom - no parking in a very small street - Lift and Corridor to go beauty clinic and swimming pool are very out dated and dark… do not give a nice, premium feeling of the Beauty clinic… - Breakfast correct Net, the hotel in its entirety needs good renovation (wall, carpet, bathrooms, balcony…)
