Classical Manor Hotel

It's an old house in an old manor, but for those who like classical architecture and decoration, it's a manor hotel worth visiting. It's near Chillon Castle. a 15-minute walk away. Good Breakfast and Dinner. Nice Staff.

Great location

The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city. The beds were comfortable. Good breakfast—a great variety and tasty. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montreux!

Nice hotel. A little too expensive. Not great for young kids but staff is extremely nice.

The room was very clean. We stayed on the 3rd floor so we had a really good view and the hotel is only minutes from the city. Because the location was really good, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is very nice but can be very expensive.

We stayed here as a family (wife and kids 3, 7, and 9) and the facility is not the best for young kids. Its very quiet which is a good thing but I felt like I had to keep my kids quiet the whole time which can be difficult. This isn't the worst thing if you are traveling as just adults. Besides the quiet, the floors do creak every time you walk. Also our shower was broken. The door was very hard to close and when tried it came off its hinges and almost fell.

This was a delightful stay!

Historical charm, balcony with lake view for our double room. Our daughter’s single room had a balcony as well. This quaint hotel is close to the castle. The dinner was delicious and the ladies packed us a breakfast for the next morning, as we had an early departure. The service was splendid.

Traditional Swiss Comfort

Oldest hotel in Montreux and has a home feel as if you are staying with your Swiss grandparents. We came as a group of 3 that turned to 4 last minute for the Jazz Festival. They accommodated us quickly with a 4th bed. Great location to get quickly to the venue and quiet enough to sleep away from the commotion. It was so quiet, we had to add our own white noise to the room.

Fantastic location, welcoming staff and great food!

We had a superior room with a huge balcony and fantastic views. The location was perfect as the jazz festival was on and we were not near enough to hear all the noise 😂 The 4 course evening meals were excellent, we’ve never had cold soup, and enjoyed it so much! Breakfast was also extremely good. Staff very welcoming.

Everything! It was belle epoque fineness and we loved it here. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere everything we wanted. Spectacular views and the room was good for 3 of us (mum, dad and teen son). The bar lovely for a drink, we didn’t try dinner but would have done if we stayed for another night. As soon as we walked in we felt happy.

Only slight grumble was the breakfast could have included a couple of hot items.

Mostly authentic old villa-hotel close to the Chillon castle - about 10-15 minutes on foot. Great view from the garden, good breakfast, parking in front of the hotel,

A bit far from Montreux center, still, buses help a lot. As many old buildings - a bit noisy (floors, etc). Not the best soundproofing, especially from stairs. No lift - it can be a problem for some guests.

Lovely

This is beautiful old hotel - emphasis on old. Beautiful parquet floors that creek with every step (in your room and hallway). You can hear people in adjoining rooms, which is to be expected in an historic property. Food was delicious and room was comfortable.

Historic (one of few) hotel in Switzerland in nice location, parking possibility & reasonable price

Room: clean, cute, nicely decorated. Breakfast - pastries, fruits, yogurts, cold cuts. Not a great variety but enough. Hotel provides parking (15CHF/night) which is very convenient. Walking distance to the lake and restaurants.

Walls are thick (so almost no mobile internet) and wifi is too weak unfortunately. Beds are "old style" - cute but uncomfortable.

Beautiful historical hotel.

Old style hotel with a soul. I enjoyed the interior decoration and will definitely stay here again if I ever return to Montreux. The breakfast was served in a beautiful room.

I have nothing to complain about this hotel. Although not on the city center, it was easy to get to with the tram. One climbs a steep hill, however it was refreshing and the view over the mountains and the lake was spectacular.

Stay for the atmosphere, not the food

The best part of this hotel is the staff. We were welcomed by a very friendly man that gave us a tour of the hotel and told us about its history, and met the owner of the hotel many times during our stay. Everyone is very pleasant and the whole experience feels homely. The building is old, yes, but there's an undeniable charm to that.

Well, aside from the charm of an old building there's also really, REALLY creaky floors in every room, and the bed frames seemed like they might be originals. Like, from 1829. Also, I was heartbroken at how bad the food was. Because I want to love everything about this hotel, but it was just really poor. Tasteless, really over-cooked meat and passable, bland vegetables. The breakfast was fine, I guess, but it's hard to go wrong with store-bought pain au chocolat and good coffee.

It was in summer no ac …. Asked for fan and they said they would try but never brought one. So pretty unbearable to be in room from noon to 5:00 in afternoon … for a room without ac seemed kinda expensive

Very enjoyable & comfortable stay & highly recommended

Hotel was spotlessly clean,bed was very comfortable,room temperature was perfect (not too hot or cold) & the staff were extremely polite & helpful.

Being from the UK we couldn't watch TV as all the english TV channels were encrypted & there was no tea/coffee making facility in our room.Very minor things that could easily be rectified & wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

Swiss hospitality at its best

This is a wonderful hotel that is dedicated to the local area, particularly Chateau de Chillon. It has beautiful traditional furnishings and a calm, cosy, and sophisticated atmosphere. I loved everything about it: the staff, my room, the views, the bar, and - importantly - the wonderful location on the best part of the lake. The food was also exquisite. I will be back.

Little historic gem

Wonderful hotel who kept the charm of the past while offering all the confort one could look for. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice. Decoration is just fantastic (like jumping straight into a historic novel). Staff was very kind and helpful. We loved it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Heritage property aesthetically curated.

Rooms should be cleaned better and the upkeep of mattress and linen can be better. Since the access to the property is an upward inclined walk from closest bus stop or train station , perhaps they can offer a shuttle for hotel guests at the time of check in and check out only , keeping luggage in mind.
