A very good location, great walk to Chillon Castle, close tothe promenade and the Freddie statue in the heart of Montreux. A surprisingly good breakfast, a washer/dryer, and Thomas is very helpful.
There is a train that goes close to the property. It didn't bother me but ear plugs are provided just in case.

The host was kind, the beds were comfy, and the location was right by a bus stop, which was very handy.
I wasn't expecting the private bathroom to be across a public hall from our room. I thought it was a bed and breakfast instead of a hostel. Still, we did have our own private bathroom as promised, so I am grateful for that.

The friendly staff, the breakfast ,and somehow the location. 100 m away from the lake.
But the apartment was open on the shared corridor. If you need to go to the toilet, you will need to go out of your room through the corridor to the toilet.
The room was unventilated and if you open the window, the insects will come inside your room.
It is fine to spend one night for sleeping only. More than that, it is not recommended at all.
