A spotless, cosy stay with a super comfortable bed and a warm, charismatic host—highly recommended.

All round superb value, service and comfort.

Warmly welcomed to a spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped chalet. Beautifully situated and thought out in its own little garden. Peaceful and perfect for relaxing at the end of a days cycling. We also enjoyed a delicious evening meal made by Beatrice which was great value and much appreciated. Breakfast also great. Would highly recommend this little gem in Ver sur Mer.

Excellent throughout

The host is warm and welcoming. Everything was carefully designed to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast, served in the room, was delicious. Stay there: it's a no brainer.

A little bit of heaven

Beatrice was really lovely and we had a fantastic time. She cooked us 3 delicious meals and we felt totally spoiled. Our dog loved the garden. I also loved communicating in French 😃

There wasn't a lot of room for clothes and belongings but we improvised by using spare drawers and shelves wherever we found them!

The place itself. Beautifully presented...excellent patio, as well as small, though well equipped, kitchen area. Beatrice herself, welcoming, charming and informative. Also the excellent breakfast and options for evening meal, and finally, The location, so close to the British Memorial.

Warm welcome from Beatrice at her lovely house in the quiet village of Ver Sur Mer, just up from the moving British Normandy Memorial and minutes from the D-Day beaches and museum. Highly recommended - but book early. You'll be lucky to get in!

Fantastic value for money Very obliging host who replied to messages immediately. The breakfast was superb. The hot chocolate the best I'd ever had! Wonderful rural position within walking distance of Bristol D Day memorial and Gold Beach Lovely immaculate modern accommodation with a fabulous shower.

Only complaint was the uncomfortable settee for sitting on. Lovely coffee machine but need to provide your own coffee for it. Also only 1 tiny mug and no milk but I'm sure if we'd asked, Beatrice would have provided

Exceptional

We had a great time in the place. Beatrice, the owner, is so warm and kind person! The accommodation is very private and quiet, a separate entrance through the old wall. Just great to sit on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine and look into the garden. The location is just ideal to get to know Normandy, its history and beauty. Perfect value for money.

Lovely short stay and great welcome

Lovely warm welcome from Beatrice. The house was super warm and cosy on a cold April night. Everything was correct for the price we paid. Very peaceful, quiet and secure

Only one small point- the mattress is a bit saggy. Not easy to tell and to be fair, Beatrice gave us a choice of beds. We didn’t realise until the middle of the night, when we were both falling into a dip 😂 But it’s probably a good thing for our hosts to be aware of. Everything else was fantastic for the price. A great value stay

Not What I Thought I was Booking

It was an interesting place. Very old and charming.

The only bathroom is downstairs which is not convenient. The wifi does not work. Also, there must be two separate houses in this same listing because our place did not look like the first picture. Make sure you ask which place you are getting.

Our stay was exceptional. The owner, Mrs Beatrice, was willing to take care of any of our needs and provided perfect advise on some of our "touristic queries". The spot of the residence is in the center of many choices over Normandy.
