Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shigakogen

We were here on an off-season deal in June. For 140USD pn we got a huge Japanese room (lovely) with breakfast and dinner included. When busy both dinner and breakfast were full buffet and excellent. When quiet we were served a great selection of too much food but it was still excellent quality. Local beers and gin tonice were really nice and not overpriced. The staff were mainly Myanmarese, but included Indonesian and locals, and all were polite and lovely. They were all fantastic. The private onsens are small but great. Its just across the road from the Shigakogen visitors centre, trail heads and cable car There is a well scheduled regular bus service into Yudanaka (direct to train station for connections .. takes credit cards) and the Snow Monkeys. There are Express buses to Nagano a couple of times each day. We used them for our train to Kofu, a stopover otw to Fuji. We loved this place. We only had 2 nights but would recommend 3 or 4 to do some walks, explore more, and support the youngsters who work here.

スキーシーズンでなく、閑散期だから、ガラガラでしたが、対応も良く、快適に過ごせました。

The hotel and our room feel new and clean! Room is big and comfortable. We had the mountain view which is nice! At first we were given a view of a roof top which was awful! So we asked the staff if they could change a room with a nice view since the hotel is now not quite occupied and the staff was kind enough to change for us, which was a great relief! We enjoyed the room with a nice view! Staff service is exceeding from front desk to restaurant! Breakfast and dinner food quality was excellent too! The onsen is great, very clean and peaceful with both indoor and outdoor onsens. There are also 2 free private onsens which is great! We love everything here!
