The staff and ambience was wonderful. The dinner was really good and plenty. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the hospitality of all the staff.
This was my mistake, but I didn't realize we would not have our own shower so using the onsen facilities was not ideal. Also, I wish I had done more research with the timing of our stay. This is not a summer (in my opinion) destination. Again completely my fault. Most of the shops were closed and the town was very sleepy. Most of the town's onsen had a strong sulfur odor so we did not get to enjoy them.

It is a very authentic, family-friendly ryokan. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The onsen on the top floor is great, spacious, and offers an indoor and outdoor pool as well. The room was clean, bright, and spacious. The kaiseki was excellent. The ryokan is located perfectly, and they offer a shuttle service to nearby places. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked the Japanese rooms and the peaceful vibe and the fact that we could use all the public baths in the street. Free parking and fantastic staff!!
Not knowing if we could use the restaurant in the ryokan as everywhere seems to close early
