The outside looked a little misleading.. I was preparing for a low quality stay but it was great. The exterior could use a little love!

Great location for us to stop on our way south.

When we used the restroom, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. When we opened the window, the curtain lever broke. We had a horrible bed that was old and disgusting; we both woke up with backaches in the morning. The place is very run down, which I was surprised by because we always stay at Choice Hotels, but this did not meet our previous years of experience or expectation for a Choice Hotel. This stay has made me rethink our future hotel stays. We ended up renting two rooms because the original rooms and beds were too small. We were very disappointed and couldn't wait to leave in the morning. If we hadn't arrived so late, we would have found somewhere else to stay.

The attendant was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well cared for.
There was only one working outlet so I could not use my CPAP machine, my oxygen concentrator or charge my portable oxygen. It was a very bad night to say the least. Also, I couldn't get my walker in the bathroom and there were not any bars to hold on to when showering. Also , I had to have help lifting my walker into the room because there was a four inch lip on the threshold. They told me they were aware of the issues. The GM would have given me a discount but since it was a third party booking she couldn't do it. I paid $148 for what I thought was going to be a quality experience. It was not. Even the breakfast did not have diabetic friendly food.

I like baker city in general. I like that the location is near everything and walk distance.
We arrived. The staff didn't even acknowledge that we were there.
Then we checked in and she give us room 135. When we opened the door, the room wasn't cleaned. Bed wasn't made. One of there housekeeper said that room was "out of order" she doesn't know why we were giving the room. Then we went back to the front desk and the lady kept asking questions about our reservation. Final we got a different room. The room had bugs. Breakfast with expired milk and breads. No satisfied and we are not coming back. Book at your own risk.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The bathtub was also very deep, which is nice for bigger people who still want to occasionally take a hot bath. The a/c unit in the room works really well. It gets the room nice and cold.
The fan/ light in the bathroom. It is the most obnoxious thing ever. It is so loud and annoying that it makes you not want to turn the light on in there at all. Also, the bedding is really thin, so if you like your room really cold, I would suggest bringing a heavier blanket with you.

This is an old hotel. You can tell the rooms and property have been around a while. The room was not dirty and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The wifi had good signal and speeds were nice and fast. Don’t expect fancy but for the price it is a good value. There was plenty of water pressure and the shower was nice and hot.
During our stay the pool and breakfast were not available but based on other reviews I had called ahead to check on this so it was not a surprise. During the summer there are more options with pools but indoor pools for the winter are lacking in baker city and the price difference was more than we wanted to spend for this trip.

The rooms are more settle and homey than newer and modern. The manager is so sweet and helped up with everything we needed. the stuff we’re very persistent and professional when multitasking cleaning the rooms and doing front desk. definitely a nice little home town vibe.

The location is great.
There was no breakfast room open yet only bagged items the pool was closed still. I was disappointed that during the state basketball tournament they almost doubled the price on the room. I understand that many nights they probably don’t make expenses but I think the increase was way to much.

Sally at the front desk is an absolute gem! My boyfriend and I stay here every week for work and love it. I also adore the vintage charm and clean comfort of this great hotel.

Friendly staff
Rooms could be updated, no laundry bag, towels are small

The room smelled like urine because the sides of the toilet had it pooled on each side at the base. Two towels were dirty and folded to appear clean. It’s clear the towels don’t get changed with each guest, if they had, our towels would have been clean.

Not much
It definitely needed updated. Bath mat wa black and ugly. Faucet leaked bad when turned on. It was just bad. Web site showed pictures of hot breakfast, but only had sack breakfast 6 to 10. Went to get breakfast before leaving at 8:00. Went to office and it was locked with sign saying open at 9:00.
