It was a great value and it was drivable to all the places we needed to be.

The property was clean and seemed like it had a recent renovation. We had reserved a room with 2 queens and a pull out couch. The room seemed to be 2 doubles no couches. It was fine as we brought one less kid with us. If we had both kids we would not have fit. The only thing to look at is the ceilings are all def battling leaks. I hope they don't cave in anything soon.

Just that the ceilings looked like they have major water damage. It would have been awesome if they had hot tub and body wash.

The room was beat up. The pocket door to bathroom was hard to move and didn’t close fully. The shower rod was loose so the shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed. There wasn’t bedding for the fold out couch. The room with the fold out couch was very narrow/small for a community space and the one couch was quite uncomfortable. The 4 flights of stairs inside the room itself were tough on the two 78 year-olds. The room (king suite)did not match what was pictured on the website. There were cobwebs along the ceiling of the bathroom. The bathroom wasn’t on the same floor as the bedroom.

The room is large, clean and the location is good. The area feels safe. It is almost directly across the street from In/Out but is easy to miss the entry if you don't pay close attention. The beautiful, warm beach (not the water) is close by.

Be careful upon the driveway entry if you have low ground clearance.

I'm the man who booked the room. The other two guests were women. There was only about a half roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Just a small thing really. But they were surprised by this and complained to me. We called downstairs and another roll was delivered. (But you asked. So we're telling you.)

I definitely recommend The Hotel. It was a nice, relaxing stay with exceptional staff.

There was no breakfast. We were told the night before that there would be muffins the next morning but there were not. We went to a nearby Starbucks to get breakfast sandwiches. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was better than I imagined for the price. There's a pretty hefty security deposit, but it's refundable.

I would recommend The Hotel Oceanside for basic accommodations that met all of our needs.

Room clean, no odors. We had all that we needed. Would have LOVED to walk out on the balcony but there was no access and maybe it does not handle Guest use in its structure.

I thought the $200 deposit was a bit excessive and expected it to remain pending and drop off but it came out of my bank account. I called to clarify it and your rep was helpful and explained it was a full charge but would drop off quickly and it did.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The AC barley works and we basically unable to cool down room without leaving the windows open. Still leaving the room warmer than we wanted. We were also woken up by the sound of the bathroom sink flooding the bathroom as the water was coming up from the drain. The WIFI also did not work for our room.

It was a pleasant stay in a clean hotel

Rooms were spacious and clean as well as linen which was serviced every day. Cleaning staff very efficient, amiable eager to please. Ice makers on every floor all near elevator. Quiet environment easy access to highway and coast.

Only one baggage dolly at property which had been left in an unknown room by another customer so had to load some items on a laundry cart helped by staffand by hand carried luggage to room, coffee was lukewarm made from one day to other at 830, when service manager arrived, continental breakfast should be omitted from your amenities.

Great location. Close to downtown and ⛱️. Room were clean.

Bed was very hard. Coffee was terrible and only cheap powder creamer. Counter had no napkins. No continental breakfast even tho breakfast area had tables and chairs. Website said breakfast was available. Parking filled up at night and I had to walk alone to the front. Only one entrance and exit. After 6pm there was NO entrance without keycard.

The room was nice. Very clean and the beds we’re comfortable. The staff the very friendly and accommodating. The little mini mart in the lobby was nicely stocked and very affordable.

It was hot inside the entire hotel. Even though it was nice and cool outside. They didn’t have any a/c in the lobby or hallways which made the whole place a bit uncomfortable. The windows didn’t open so we had to run the a/c all night and it was loud and clanking. It was annoying because it was nice and cool outside. Also I thought it included breakfast and it looks like it’s set up to have breakfast but in the morning there was nothing available.

A Willy Wonka Family suite off the freeway, but super affordable!

It was super affordable and seemed clean.

Very odd location off the freeway. We had the family suite and we soon realized it was a repurposed stairwell space that had been turned into a suite. It was a crazy little room. Flight of stairs to the living room/kitchette/bathroom and then a flight of stairs to the bedroom. We had a good time and it served our purposes, but we laughed a lot when we realized why the space was so weird. I was a trip! It was clean and we were there for one night so it served us just fine and the price was soooo affordable. So. I can’t really complain!

Here’s my review I left. ⸻ If I could give zero stars, I would. We stayed here over Mother’s Day weekend, hoping for a relaxing trip—and it turned into an absolute nightmare. First of all, they don’t tell you anywhere during booking that there’s a $200 cash-only deposit. No signs, no warning—just a finger pointed at the ATM when you arrive. Extremely unprofessional. Then the real chaos started. The owner actually called my husband’s phone to yell at him, claiming there were too many people in our room (it was just me, my husband, and our daughter). She hung up on him four times, then called back to yell again—this time because my vibrant red hair stained a few towels. Honestly, it’s outrageous to expect people with colored hair not to leave any color behind. That’s not a realistic or fair standard in 2025. We also brought our dog, and followed their instructions to keep him out of the room for maid service. No one ever came. When we asked for clean sheets, they just handed them to us like we were at a laundromat and expected us to make the bed ourselves. Look—I’m not some rich, entitled guest expecting five-star service, but I do expect the bare minimum of hospitality, especially when I’m paying to stay there. And after all that? They kicked us out. Spending Mother’s Day weekend being yelled at, hung up on, and treated like a nuisance was the last thing we expected. Completely disrespectful, disorganized, and unfit to call itself a hospitality business. Avoid Oceanside Hotel at all costs.
