Lovely stay right by the ocean

Beautiful appartement right by the ocean. It's modern and clean and has a well-equipped kitchen, allowing you to cook food during your stay. Check-in was easy and all went smooth. I really enjoyed staying here in Oceanside.

I think the price was a bit on the high end, but that's probably because of the great location. A minor point is that it takes about 5 minutes for the shower to get warm and the water pressure is very low. Not a big deal, but something that might be improved upon.

Great Oceanside stay!

The location was perfect! Enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the deck. The front house had all the amenities we needed. The property manager, Trevor, was always communicative and helpful. Would totally stay again!

Disappointed

This is my second visit and it was not as amazing as the first. It’s a beautiful property with ocean steps away from the door. Great shops, sites and restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

Contact with a person was difficult/non existent. 1/2 a roll of tp left, zero response when requested more. Dirty dishes because cleaning staff relies on the previous guests to wash for the next. A cleaning fee. Sand on the floor. Dirty towels and holes in the bedding.

Outdated circuitry was an issue with the cook top and microwave unable to run simultaneously. Shower and bathroom overall is very close quarters.

I really liked that the place was right at the beach . Very lively , lovely comfortable common sitting area overlooking beach, surfing and sunset. We appreciated manager's accomodation to check in earlier.

Picture of the corner room showed as queen suite with beach view while booking was not the actual room assigned to us. And i also called to confirm if the room was beach facing and i was reassured over the phone. It made me feel sad .

Pretty good stay, but I won't be back

Location is right across from the beach, which is wonderful and a real treat. Place is nicely decorated. Bedroom air conditioner (only one in the BR, not in living area) works very well and keeps it nice and cold.

Our room was on the interior of the complex and we didn't get any kind of ocean view. Probably my mistake as there were several rooms available and I may have chosen the wrong one. It was a VERY small unit, almost too small for us (we are a couple). Kitchen was well stocked, but we did not cook there. It's very noisy there - people coming and going at all hours, which is pretty annoying. The garage parking spot is crazy skinny! Don't plan to park there if you have an SUV or are overweight. We needed a couple of things and it took a day to get them because the manager said he didn't get our voicemail. But after that he was very responsive.

Great location, cozy small apartments, and a friendly landlord. Free surfboards to borrow, a nice terrace, and coffee with bowls offered on weekends. The additional amenities were okay, but the barbecue area with a fire pit was very nice.

What we didn’t like: the sofa beds in our rooms were not very comfortable, although in our friends’ rooms they were fine to sleep on. I think a cleaning during a stay of more than a week would be useful. However, there was always the option to exchange towels etc. The landlord was sometimes a bit difficult to reach.

Overall a nice place to stay but too many small inconveniences

Overall, a nice place to stay, easy access to the beach, can hear the ocean from the room, I would maybe stay here again.

I would have preferred a secondary form of lock to use at night, being a solo female, even just one of the chain locks or a deadbolt. The door also does not lock behind you like a normal hotel because there are no key cards, just a code, so if you don't lock it behind you, it is open for anyone to walk in, which is exactly what happened to me while I was here. A MALE STRANGER walked into my room! The floor had quite a bit of sand, like the room was not swept between guests. The shampoo and body wash bottles were completely empty and I didn't bring my own body wash because I expect all hotels to provide a small bar soap at a minimum, so I had to use the hand soap in my shower the first night. Also, I recieved MANY messages from the hotel during my stay which all ended with something along the lines of "message us with any questions" but when I did message a quick question about how to pick up the parking pass that they've mentioned many times, I never got a reply, thankfully I did not ever receive a parking ticket!

All in all, we would stay there again for the convenience of the location

Love the location of this property. Right in front of the beach, and you can hear the waves even if room was at the back of the building, like ours was. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding soft, clean and nice. There's a handy small fridge and enough glasses & utensils for serving drinks. It also has beach towels which came in very handy

The plumbing is very slow, since the building is old. The bathroom sink took a long time to drain. There is no closet space, so you have to make space for luggage and clothes. Our son slept in the foldout couch which was comfortable, but we had to move things around to find room for our stuff.

Great location and view

Great small appartment right on the Strand. Clean, bright and our unit had a wonderful water view. Loved the sound of the waves! Short walk to town and to the pier. Fun parade of vehicles along the Strand

Parking was a small challenge. The unit included a garage but it wasn't build for the mid sized SUV we rented - it fit but barely. For a smaller SUV or car it would be fine. Because of this, we ended up street parking and got a ticket from the city.

Bedroom is very bright. A/c didn’t work and the bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work. The igniter for the bbq and patio fire place was also faulty. I tried on a couple occasions to contact the property managers but did not get a reply.

Definitely will stay here again

Trevor was super helpful before arrival and during our stay to answer any questions we had. The room (201) was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The freezer/fridge combo was just enough space to keep food in there. The freezer did keep our items frozen.

The only con I would say is the pull out couch bed was not very comfortable for adults. My 2 kids however didn’t mind.

The location was amazing! So close to the pier, food, parks and sand! The nearby parks and grassy area were nice for children and pets😀 Loved that beach, chairs,umbrellas,boogie board and couple of longboard’s were available to my teens. the outdoor showers was a huge Perk! Was surprised that there was a double cook top in the kitchen( not that I used it 😎) My husband enjoyed all the Cruising of Vintage Vehicles 🚗

Extremely clean and was comfortable. Kitchenette was well stocked with everything you need.

Close to the beach. The patio was excellent in the morning to drink your coffee and watch the sunset at night. Also very close walk to train depot where commuter train regularly runs from San Diego. You don’t need to rent a car to enjoy Oceanside if you stay at Marbella.
