Good Hotel, Horrible Area

Location near freeway and close to airport was good. Good restaurants nearby. Hotel itself seems updated and in good repair. Room was clean and comfortable bed.

There are 2 hotels right across the street that I think double as homeless shelters. In general the whole area has homeless, mentally ill and drug addicts. Every night for most of the night their was screaming and yelling right outside my window. Dozens of homeless wandering around like an episode of the Walking Dead. Its not just the area around the hotel its for miles in any direction, pretty much all of Portland and Vancouver is a lawless s---hole. I feel bad for this hotel because its nice and they seem to be trying to make it nice but have an uphill battle.

I was there an hour before finding something else with a better bed and was charged full price. Room was freezing. Bed was hard. Toilet paper was stuffed into the peep hole. Toilet was dirty.

The surprise of an additional 100 hold on my account for possible damages. NOT cool. By doing that it told us that it was not a good neighborhood and so I worried all night that my car was at risk.

Great stay, easy accommodations

The main "like" was it is pet friendly as we were travelling with a small dog... Unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of the breakfast as we were meeting family for breakfast later...maybe next time!

It was a little difficult to find the property at first but once we figured it out, it was great.

An elevator would be good for those who have mobility issues. I recently hurt my knee (after making the reservation) and our room was on the 2nd floor and there were no 1st floor rooms available. It was difficult.

Nice hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, and other selections. Room and facility was very clean. I liked that there were hardwood floors in the rooms instead of carpet, much cleaner. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

I do sleep overs with my grandkids when I visit Vancouver and they love the pool.

I wish the breakfast went later in the morning. We aren't up by 9:00 am if we've played in the pool the night before.

They treated us very well.

Loved that we were in a bind, and best Western accommodated us. We needed 2 rooms, and it was very late notice and they still treated us amazingly. Best hotel experience I've had in a long time. They care about their customers.

There isn't anything I didn't like except.for the location. I got kind of nervous when I saw the motel next door because we had stayed in the motel before and that had been awful, but I needn't have worried because our stay at BW was excellent.

We felt the room was very accommodating but the breakfast was lacking especially the amount of food.

We like the set up for breakfast as it was spacious and not too crowded.

We felt the hours could have been at least a half hour longer for breakfast, especially on the weekend. There also was a lack of food and it was still before 9am. There was almost nothing to eat.
