Motel 6-Rohnert Park, CA

Parking was great but if you don’t check your Room Details carefully you’ll be charged almost the equivalent of a three night stay for a microwave. They don’t even try to accommodate the price “We stayed for almost a month in two consecutive reservations”.

The property was clean but the customer service could use a bit of an adjustment.

It was close to restaurants and shopping

It was dirty, the door was broken, they didn’t provide any shampoo or soap, the previous tenant painted the doors and walls with glow in the dark paint. I could smell the tenant next door smoking pot, the bed was extremely cheap and uncomfortable. It felt unsafe.

The location seemed good

The clientele was pretty bad… we watched a prostitute bathe in the swimming pool. The ADA room we stayed in reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and staff attempted to clean it with strong chemicals. The room smelled terrible. With two of us, I asked for an extra pillow and the clerk said they didn’t offer an extra pillow?? This is hands down the worst hotel we’ve stayed in. We didn’t expect much, but we didn’t expect this.

Location was great. Check-in was smooth and the staff at check-in counter was quite friendly

The room had a strong musty smell. It also smelled of cigarettes, as if someone had smoked there just before we checked in. There were also a few flies. We counted 5-6 of them. We were able to swat a few but not all. The floor was also really dirty. Our son walked on the floor for a few minutes wearing his white socks and they become really dark gray in those few minutes. The TV also didn’t work. We were very tired and had checked in late in the night and had no energy to look for another room. And since we just had to sleep for 1 night we thought we will just suck it up.

Safest room above main office

I was overcharged almost $35. Booking com informed of overcharge. Still awaiting dispute of overcharge and resolution. Also, all four of us staying at this Motel 6 were bitten several times by bed bugs; disgusting! We even brought our own blankets to cover hotel bed sheets, but still bitten. Don't stay here!

Room was dirty, smelled like smoke, sheets were stained. Spouce and I left after 3 hours and went somewhere else.

First and last

The sheets were stain and old, the AC smell bad. The whole room was Yuck and a lot of weird people.

Though we didn’t get his name, the young man working check in on July 11th around 7pm was very friendly and helpful, which was very refreshing after a long drive. The room was nice enough for a quick stay before hitting the road again.

It's a Motel 6. Got what I was expecting. Nothing more, nothing less. No complaints. Only thing worth mentioning that I liked was that it was quiet. Minor problem with TV remote was fixed within minutes of calling the front desk.

Motel 6's have NO amenities except the vending machines. But within easy walking distance of several several restaurants.

Away from any main streets so quieter. Couldn’t hear the freeway. Desk clerk friendly and helpful.

Beds not too comfortable. Wear and tear shows inside and out .

It's easy to get there. No waiting time and it's quiet there.

No help from staff. The front desk was the one who could speak English. Caller for an item I left on a hanger and there was little to nothing of service retrieving items. No responsibility over staff. Expect dust bunnies and no vacuuming of floors in the room.

In an 8 day stay we had maid service One time even though we requested daily. Daily we had to go to the office for clean towels. Often we used hand towels or even a bath mat for a washcloth because the office had none. Daily our key card had to be redone even though nothing magnetic was near it. Our first room had a clogged toilet, first time we went to the office and got a small plunger and tried to clear it ourselves when we were told no maintenance people working at that time, the next day it clogged we were told no plunger available and COULD WE JUST LIVE WITH IT! We said no it was unusable and unacceptable so they moved us to another room. We were there because a family member was dying and we spent every minute with them and had that not been the case we would have left. Prior to our visit they sent an email saying certain amenities would not be available but there are zero precautions in effect there, no masking, no cleaning, we purchased our own disinfectant. There were zero good things about this place, give it a wide berth.

Usually I choose a motel with fridge and microwave, and would have liked that here. However, the price explains it. Also an in room coffee maker would have been nice

We really like that there's a laundry room for the guests who stay here. That is a Major +++, & it's a good price which also makes it a Major +++. Thank You!

Didn't like how loud some of the other guests were being in the middle of the night.

The cleanliness of the property and room.

Room was listed as a queen deluxe so the room was larger than most at this motel. There was a microwave and a mini refrigerator in this "deluxe" room, other rooms did not have these items.

This was a non-smoking room but the curtains had burn holes in them, as did the bedspread, both were very shabby. The door latching plate was busted, so we could hit the door and it would open, we used the extra security latch to secure the door. Also, there was a large gap under the entry door. Hwy 101 was noisy. This motel is a stripped down version of a motel: no shampoo, limited towels, small bed. Plus the ice machine didn't work.

The neighbor next to us was rude uncalled for we left mid way through stay
