Courtyard by Marriott Fort Smith Downtown

Very nice

The staff was efficient and friendly. Impeccably clean room, hallways, main lobby, elevators. Quiet, spacious room with good mattress, pillows. The glasses were actually glass and 12 oz kn size instead of the tiny plastic cheap small ones wrapped in more plastic too many 2.5 star rooms use

Coffeemaker only had one regular and one decaf pod. So we had to call to far another. Why not supply 2?

It had nice lounge area.

Pool was not very clean and our room didn’t have a microwave. We couldn’t get room service as there was no cooks working that night.

The room was nice sized for just one person.

I took pictures it was so disappointing...After spending about $1,900 for staying there, my room had been skipped over for 2 days...All of my trash cans were completely full and over flowing...my toilet had black/green mold growing on it, completely out of toilet paper and completely out of fresh towels. I call the front desk and greeted by a very unhospitable front manager. She informed me it WAS MY FAULT the room had not been cleaned. She informed me that I MUST CALL AND MAKE A REQUEST EVERY NIGHT to have my room cleaned the next day. So I put in the request. Arrived back to my room after work to find my room had the bed made and only half the trash taken out...the towels were placed on my bed, there were still things GROWING in my toilet & the room smelled like urine do to the toilet not being cleaned in several days. They also had NOT resupplied me with toilet paper. I called down to the front desk and was again greeted with distain by the front desk. She said she didn't know what happened but she would have toilet paper "run up to my room". Thirty minutes later I go down stairs and ask for the toilet paper, at which time she simply opened a cabinet behind her and handed me 2 rolls. For the amount of money and the supposed luxury Courtyard is suppose to have, I was EXTREMELY DISAPOINTED! I am a retired Marine of 21 years, rest assured I will be letting all of my colleagues know about my horrible experience as well as all of my contractors to pass it down to their remote workers ( I'm a General Manager for Military Projects). This experience is absolutely turned me off to Courtyard and your parent companies. Kind regards, Gordon Davis USMC

Really nice lobby and bistro. Saint have a buffet breakfast but having the bistro there was more convenient. My daughter liked the Starbucks options in the morning. Great exercise facility. Spacious room with a couch.

My daughter was disappointed we didn’t get an a balcony with our suite. The pool was cold but it didn’t stop kids from playing. Neighborhood around the block was a little run down but we did see a good police presence in the surrounding streets so we felt like the car was safe.

Breakfast was confusing, there wasn’t any when we when down at 8am. It starts at 7am

The staff was top notch outstanding. The bed was comfortable. We loved the outside courtyard for our dog. We enjoyed the location it was easy to get to everything.

The wifi sucked. We were never about to access the free internet. The pool was cold and we had called ahead to make sure it was heated as avertized. Both of these were important to our decision of where we going to stay. We called several locations before making this choice, so not being able to use the internet or being able to use the pool for three days was very disapointing. The lighting was very dark and gloomy. We will not stay there again.

Comfort and Enjoyable areas in the lobby

At the moment, it seems that I’m being charged for a stay on April 20, 2025, and I am back at home. My original stay was for a day on March 30th. Not sure why my credit card is incorrectly being charged, and I’m not there.

Very clean and all employees were very friendly.

Booking.com is a scam. They ripped me off and there's nothing I can do about it. They showed a four-star hotel that was in the middle of slumtown and it was more like a one-star hotel. When I got there I decided I did not want to stay there so the people there said they couldn't cancel it I'd have to cancel it with booking.com so I did. I didn't pay anything on my credit card. But then booking.com even though I didn't stay there chose to charge my credit card the full amount of the hotel room as a cancellation fee stating there's nothing they can do about it. It's a total scam and it's a total rip off do not use this company.

The room was spacious and set up more like home vs a hotel room.

Our room ac did not maintain a cold area. At best it was cool but not working correctly. We did let the front desk staff know after the first night but as far as I was notified no one check on the issue.
