Perfectly maintained - no wear and tear evident. The pool and spa looked lovely. The bed was very comfortable with crisp bedding. Choice of pillows. Easy chair, microwave and fridge. The location was super convenient and close to amenities. The staff were friendly, professional and welcoming. The office was attractive. Ease of free parking. Great value for money.

The proximity to the road meant some noise but it didn’t interfere.

Beds, pillows, screened windows, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion dispensers, plenty of towels, coffee in the morning, wardrobe to hang your clothes, ironing board and iron, card access for ice dispenser, vending machine, laundry room, pool, most of the front desk staff, and all of the cleaning staff. It appeared as though safety was a priority as it remained clean, quiet without negative distractions.

No discount offered for extended stays. I had to use a third party to book several reservations. My initial reservation was supposed to be mountain/pool view which was not. I mentioned it after I was settled in and was offered a different room if available, but I refused as I was already unpacked, and had a meeting to attend. One of the front desk staff members working had no information as far as car rental, public transportation, etc. She said, "Most people just call Uber!" Car rental and public transportation is not comparable to Uber. All staff should be educated on transportation, restaurants, etc.... Maybe even try out some of the places to have a better insight. Luckily I am a U.S. resident with instant access to phone apps etc to help navigate my way. I am familiar with L A. but new to needing transportation while here. I had to figure out the public transportation system myself which is not an easy task in L.A. By the time I found rental companies in the area, they were closed. The Inn would benefit from educating staff on surroundings AND information for their guests. I've stayed at less expensive motels who literally arranged a car to be delivered to me at no cost. Building relationships like this can go far on many different levels.

I loved the coffee every morning and fresh water every day. It was very good and consistent. The cleaning staff were impeccable. They were extremely accommodating and always pleasant. I felt extremely safe at the Hills Inn while being a solo traveler. The Inn always appeared to be peaceful in a pleasant way. A quiet, simple place to stay if you are looking for a clean place to rest your head. I also appreciate having a laundry room while staying more than a few days. It was very convenient. I used public transportation 90% of the time and after figuring it out, it also was close and convenient.

I was a little disappointed in one or two of the front desk staff as they were unable to guide me in a direction regarding transportation (public and private). I was trying to navigate a possible rental car in lieu of public transportation and the solution was "I don't know, people call Uber." They were not able to guide me to a car rental or instructions for public transportation needed when I gave them my destination as well. It was fortunate for me as I am able to navigate apps on my phone while being American. I saw a lot of foreigners of all ages pass through this Inn and thought, "this must be a challenge for them!" I had to guide a few of them in the direction they were looking for while not being from California. I believe the front staff should definitely be educated on these simple needs from ALL travelers. I also was left with no recommendations when asked for places to eat, etc ... One staff member said, "I heard (blank) is good but I have never been there." When I think of "Front Desk", I think of my "go to" for all needs/guidance from their establishment in order to keep their customers safe AND happy! I also had to add on several nights at two separate times making my stay a lot longer than anticipated. I was not offered a discount or accommodations even when I asked. I had to go through a third party app to get a reasonable price and even had to wait till the next morning to ask if I can stay in the same room. I travel a ton for business and leisure and most places want to make accommodations easy at their BEST price while keeping you connected through their direct business. That's customer service. I was a bit surprised that no offer was made or suggested prior to me going through a third party. A simple fix would be to educate your front desk staff and make sure they are informed.

There was no complimentary breakfast that this hotel use to offer for all registered guest. This was the best part of the stay at this location.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The pool was a nice perk and the cleaning staff was excellent—we asked for extra towels, and when we got back, the room had been cleaned and everything restocked, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t match the price we paid. I could have sworn I booked a room with two queen beds and a rollaway to accommodate four people comfortably. Instead, we were given two full-size beds, and the front desk told us there were no other options—and that the room was too small for a rollaway. So my daughter and I had to share a bed, which was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was also extremely limited. Honestly, I’ve stayed in cheaper places that at least had better variety—more hot options, better coffee, and more space to sit. It felt more like a snack table than an actual breakfast. I paid more for this hotel because I thought I was booking something “nicer.” And while my expectations for "nice" are already pretty modest, this still fell short. Between the room size, misleading bed setup, and underwhelming amenities, it just didn’t feel worth the price. If you're traveling with more than two people or expecting any flexibility in room setup, I’d be cautious. The service from housekeeping was great, but that was the only part that really felt above average.

The place was nice and quiet. We had a restful nights stay during a holiday weekend. Complementary breakfast was good :) We will definitely stay here again.

Room was spacious. Parking was easy. Breakfast was simple but nice. Bed was comfortable.

Shower was outdated. Water pressure was bad. Soap dispensers barely dispense soap. Definitely bring your own. Fridge will be turned off when you arrive, so do not arrive with food that needs to be refrigerated right away. Almost all plugs are loose.. hard to get a plug to stay in it without falling out.

There was construction at the entrance to the Inn so we missed the turn. There is one way in and one way out.

This hotel deserves a positive review — I’m giving it 5 out of 5 for cleanliness, friendly staff, and overall impression. Out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip across the USA, this one has been the best so far. I’d also like to specifically praise the housekeeping staff — they clearly take pride in their work and don’t just clean superficially, but really make sure everything is spotless.

The location, I was able to use transit system. The room was amazing. The lighting to the shower. The Front Desk is the best. I will definitely use this hotel again if I come to this area again. I might just come here to get away and recharge. Thankyou for a great experience.

Convenient location

All the soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. We could have called the front desk but seriously; would you stop your shower, dry off, get dressed and call? Bring back regular soap and shampoo. The plugs in the lamps were so loose plugs wouldn’t stay plugged in to charge devices.
