The location was great, very walkable and a 15 minute drive away from cloud gate and the riverwalk. Surrounded by great restaurants.
The rooms are smaller and the cleaning staff must be requested. Rooms are not cleaned until the hosts ask, that wasn’t an issue for us but maybe other patrons would mind.

It was a great location, easy to walk to places for necessities. Easy pick up and drop off. The lobby was gorgeous and staff was very kind.
I felt like our room was dirty. It wasn’t completely unacceptable but I could tell the floor wasn’t vacuumed. The sink was dirty. Just little things that anyone paying attention could see. I feel like the linens smelled like old man. Like they needed new pillows or better cleaning solutions. The bed frame had sticky spots on it like some kind of juice was spilled and not cleaned up. Gum stuck in the carpet, in an obvious spot. They offer water bottles for purchase in the room. Big, glass, and refillable. The seal was broken on one and I think they shouldn’t have that in the room because if I was going to buy one, I wouldn’t buy one with the seal open.
They did allow us to check in an hour early and we are so grateful for that. The staff is incredible. They are super kind and would probably have addressed any issue I had. I am very picky and notice small details, I think the room and view was perfect for the price, I felt like it was affordable and perfect for what we needed at the time. Since this is my only Chicago hotel experience, I have no comparison to other places near by.

I am very grateful to the reception staff,
Especially I am grateful to Marina Golubenko. (supervisor). She helped with all my questions and resolved them quickly. The main problem was that I paid for my hotel stay twice. Of course, this was not the fault of the hotel staff. No one is to blame.
My bank (Kaspi, Kazakhstan) was unable to immediately refund the money for one transaction.
Marina Golubenko patiently explained to me what had happened.
I sent a request to the bank. Thanks to her actions, my issue was resolved positively, and the money blocked by the bank will be returned to me within 30 days.
I am very grateful to Marina for her help. She helped me save money and restored justice.
Please convey my gratitude to Marina Golubenko.

The location was good and the lobby/cafe area very presentable
It didn’t appear to be the cleanest place we’ve stayed in with little attention to corridors
9.0 / 10.0
It was updated and very clean. Was walking distance to the wedding I attended. I like that we had to swipe the room key to use the elevator! That’s extra security.
I didn’t like that I had to pay for a muffin in the morning. You did provide coffee/tea and fruit. I think muffins should have been included!! That’s not asking a lot.

Great location. Walkable to many restaurants and other attractions. The room was very small but also realize you are out and about most of your stay while in Chicago. The staff were very friendly.
The workout facility could use some attention. Opted to use only once…

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s located in a quiet area, but still within walking distance of the main sights. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. A special thanks to Marina for her kindness, patience, and great tips on what to see in Chicago — it made our trip even more enjoyable. We also really appreciated the complimentary coffee and fresh fruit on the ground floor. Highly recommend!

Great location! Extremely helpful and flexible staff. The room was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable, and even had a bit of a view. Loved the open spaces in the hotel to sit and read, and really loved the free hot drinks and fruit in the foyer every morning 😃. Appreciated being able to leave bags at the desk after checkout for a small fee in order to spend time in the city before catching our train. Thank you for a great stay.

I loved the location, for sure a boutique hotel. Staff were amazing hotel itself was VERY clean and the beds were AMAZING. Shower curtain was about 6" too short for the shower and allowed 70% of the floor to get wet. Looked like dried blood on the thresh hold from the bathroom to the sleeping are, but noted with the front desk and they appeared to have reported it to the maids. The room itself was VERY small and i would assume that because i went thru Booking.com that I was given the smallest room BUT it was very efficient

The morning coffee and fruit bar
No daily room cleaning and no cups etc in the room
5.0 / 10.0
The location and the bed
The size of the room. There’s no glass no complimentary water/coffee and no machine in the room to make hot water. And no dining room to take breakfast lunch or dinner. You need to go out to find for a restaurant of your choice. Below the standard of a 4star hotel compared to the 4star hotels I’ve been to in Europe

The location was perfect for the venue we were headed to. Everyone was super friendly upon arrival and really affordable. I can’t remember the name of the lady who checked us in, but she was such a big help. I think her name was Maryna. She was very helpful!
Nothing to dislike.

Parking was difficult.

Great location. Close to lots of restaurants and main attractions while also being on a relatively quiet street meaning noise wasn’t an issue. 15 min walk to CTA station to get to/from O’Hare. Room was a perfectly acceptable size if you are used to European hotels. Friendly reception staff.
Was not a problem for me but it doesn’t serve breakfast - just fruit and hot beverages in the morning.

The service was truly exceptional and without a doubt the highlight of our stay. Maryna and Nika went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for — Maryna was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout, and Nika made sure all of our room preferences were handled perfectly and with a smile. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Out of all the hotels we’ve stayed at in Chicago, this has been by far the best experience, and we’ll be returning exclusively to this property from now on. Highly recommended!
Everything was great!

I stayed at this property while undergoing treatment for a terminal illness, as I was in town to see a specialist at the local hospital. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of terrible.
Upon check-in, I was given a room that was supposedly “cleaned,” yet it was disgustingly dirty. There were visible signs of what appeared to be bodily fluids, mold, dust, hair, and even chewed gum. I immediately returned to the front desk to request a different room and was shown two additional rooms—both equally unclean. I ultimately had to settle for the third room, as I was told it would take several days to receive a refund if I chose to leave something I could not afford to do in such an expensive city.
To make matters worse, someone had flowers delivered to the front desk for me. I received both a photo and delivery confirmation, but by the time I arrived to pick them up, the front desk staff had given them to someone else without verifying their identity or asking for a name. Coincidentally, I ended up on the elevator with the person who took them. When I asked for my flowers back, they insisted they were theirs. I returned to the front desk to report the incident, noting that there were cameras that could verify my claim. I was then told the cameras “didn’t work,” which felt dismissive and possibly retaliatory.
This experience was deeply upsetting, especially during such a vulnerable and difficult time in my life. I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially those traveling for medical care or seeking even the most basic level of hospitality and respect.

Very expensive for the limited amenities and age of the property.

Quiet- especially for such a busy location. Staff were polite and attentive. Comfy bed. Location is fabulous- everything is easily walkable from here and there are some great bars and restaurants nearby. We’d recommend Ambar across the road and Centennial Craft Beer about 3 minutes walk away. Free coffee and fruit available in the lobby every morning.
The room was small compared with the photos and was a bit shabby- not enough to spoil our trip, it just didn’t look like what we had booked.

Location and affordability
It’s very bare bones and the room was sparse. Felt more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star.

Cafe Oud is around the corner and has an amazing Dubai Chocolate! The hotel was able to get me in with early check in 5 hrs early and a late check out.
I don’t believe there was a fridge in the room, or any lotion in the bathroom.

The location
The room was like a cubical, tv not in a position you can watch comfortably, toilet made a continuous hissing sound, and furniture was falling apart

Great location
No kettle or tea making facilities in the room. Kettle also not available to borrow from reception. They have drinks and fruit available in the mornings but choice is limited

Staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough. Room was a good size and location of the hotel is excellent.
Room decor could do with a bit of updating but otherwise it was a great place to stay.
8.0 / 10.0
Fantastic location, very reasonable price, staff all friendly, and modern interior at the entrance. Linen of high quality, very comfortable bed. WiFi fast and easy to connect to - good range of entertainment on the TV.
Some of paint work of the furniture was starting to show wear and tear, but nothing that a lick of paint wouldn’t solve.

Literally the lobby was the only thing I liked about this hotel.
The pictures are not what the hotel looks like. The rooms are so small you can barely turn around in them. There was trash left over from the previous guest that had not been cleaned that was by the clock. ( a red hair tie , and some other loose trash) The windows were AWFUL. They were clouded…like something in a low budget motel. there was also a hole cut out in the window screen. the water level in the toilet was low and you have to keep flushing just for it to actually flush once. overall experience: 1 out of 10

The comforter had a gross black stain on it.

Close to restaurants, clean rooms, and staff were kind and courteous. We really did enjoy our stay, even with the total cost of our two night stay being as expensive as it was. Sure, we could have gone cheaper, but who wants to sleep in an unclean and unsafe hotel.
Walking around, we felt very safe. Mind you, we were not out after 9 pm. The city lights are amazing, especially over the canal.
We were shocked with the availability of close parking within a reasonable price. 74.00 for parking nearest the hotel per day! We parked in an uncovered parking lot 8 -10 minutes walking distance, which is not too bad. Luckily, it was in the 40s and 50s. That was 48.00 for 2 nights. I guess this may be normal for experienced big city travelers, but for someone coming from rural Kansas, it was a shock. We traveled to California, Dallas, Houston, Paris France, England Costa Rica, Jamaica, and a few other places and have never had to park somewhere else other than the hotel we were staying in. Note: On the website, it references parking. However, you need to read between the lines that it will cost to park somewhere else.
Bathrooms! Wear depends. That's a joke. In and around the city, there are few to no public restrooms. Even CVS! McDonald's had a public restrooms. However, it was guarded like Fort Knox by a security officer, and you had to have a receipt of purchase, and then a worker at the busy counter had to buzz you in. What a fiasco since my husband was in the drive-through, and he had to tell them to give the receipt to me. Normally, I wouldn't be upset, but when you have to go to the bathroom, you have to go!
Our room had a view of the streets, but you also heard all the noises from the street. My husband slept through it all. I really didn't mind because I am a people watcher. However, at 1am, 2am when the bars closed down, it was a bit noisy.
