The valet and reception staff were very helpful and kind. They made the process easy. We were able to immediately check in. Our room was spacious, clean and updated. The location put us within a 10-20 minute walk from everything we wanted to do. They had the best breakfast buffet for any hotel I’ve been to and I loved the aesthetics of Ema.

Very convenient to most of the downtown area of Chicago.
It was expensive for a chain hotel but it also was peak travel season so somewhat understandable. Close to good restaurants.
Only complaint was doors on wardrobe closet squeaky. Woke up my husband when I got in later after a baseball game.

The pull out couch/bed was awful. The thinnest mattress possible, you could feel each spring.

Good location for all we wanted to do.
Elevator 1 of only 2 broke down in the morning - huge wait line for only working one resulted - my 77 year old husband climbed 9 flights to get more coffee to me before it got cold. Ridiculous to only have two elevators. Check in was terrible - no help from desk staff - waited an hour for room to be ready- finally said “give us ANY room”.
