Amazing ocean view, food & service in hotel bar and restaurant, brilliant front office Director Craig, best place for sunset in Key West !
There are building works going on so there was so access restrictions and a temporary reception area. We were not affected but there is potential for slight disruption.

Location is wonderful. However undergoing renovation makes everything more complicated, from check in to food. Pool always nice and functional. Renovated rooms are more elegant, even if colors of the entrance do not match at all those of the bedroom. What is really missing is the availability of a coffee machine. Considering the level and cost of the hotel, and considering thd location not close to any good level breakfast facility, this should be a must.
My room was in the rear part of the hotel, with views of a wall and very little sea. This should be mentioned at the time of reservation. Unacceptable the lack of a coffee machine in the room. The cost of renovation could have included the 50 USD of an expresso machine

breakfast on the terrace was lovely, but mediocre food
inoperable shower head, no adequate light by bed to read by, one lamp only worked by plugging/unplugging from wall, etc. small things that added up (e.g., no automatic recharge for cells)
