The lights on the palm trees were cute.
Rooms were cute and clean.

The elevator was scary.
A bit pricey for middle of winter/ one night stay just to sleep

Nice Staff
Motel is run down and dirty. The quality of this place has gone down very badly since we were there 6 years ago. Feels like there has been no maintenance done. Stains on the curtains, moldy base boards, very dirty shower, sticky bathroom door, so much dust under the beds.

Pet friendly, nicely updated retro hotel and very convenient location!
Very loud, but that's what you get in the middle of a big city.

Location is really nice, on a main street easy to find. It is a great place to stay if you plan to explore the city. Room was clean and comfy. staff was super helpful.
When you go to your room you can smell what restaurant downstairs is preparing (it can be a good and bad thing at the same time) wen we arrived there in the evening the smell was quite strong. Elevator is also a bit slow. Bathroom windows opens up to path where other guests are passing by to get to their rooms so it is not super safe or comfortable.

Very pleasant and welcoming staff. The property is a cheerful update to a classic 60’s design. The courtyard is well done and speaks to the era of the building.
I had no issues with the property.

Love the retro design, comfort of rooms, coffee and mini fridge in room, outdoor space, proximity to shops and galleries. Staff were friendly and efficient and housekeeping were great.
The bathroom was a bit shabby and small.

Great location with many places to eat and shop within walking distance. Comfy beds, clean rooms .
Bathrooms are small but very clean. No pool or hot tub on site. Near the hospital so you hear a fair amount of sirens.

Affordable
We stayed 2 nights but our room was not cleaned during this period. Rubbish bins were not emptied.

The location was good
The air conditioning in the room was nothing short of a joke and badly, needs addressing. We paid $600+ NZD per night and could not have the noisy air con running.
6.0 / 10.0
Good location in terms of being situated in the city. Also fun and funky decor and vibe.
The hotel is around a “dodgier” part of town - unfortunately a lot of homeless people next to the hotel.
5.0 / 10.0
The location was good being adjacent to a cafe and next door to a bar and restaurant
The air conditioning system was absolutely woeful. It was hot in Vancouver and we were unable to have the air conditioning system running due to the noise.

Friendly staff, handy location, clean & bright. Quaint quirky vibe, raised garden courtyard area was a nice focal point.
Water pressure in shower was low.

Great location. Friendly staff. Handy kettle & coffee machine.
Noisy aircon. Small room for two twin beds but adequate.

Location to the city
Air condition unit was very loud in bedroom.
The deposit taken from credit card upon check in for incidentals was very slow to be returned to our account. Instead of the 5 days we were told it took 1 calendar month which was disappointing.

The parking garage and the staff are very lovely.
The building was very old. The ac in the room made a terrible sound making it uncomfortable to sleep.

It was colourful
It was next door to a housing complex of drug, mental and homelessness which wasn’t too appealing. Also the air con was a portable which the hose went into a bucket, which overflowed. No shampoo or conditioner. And they charged me different rates per night for the week I booked which worked out around $370 per night which was Ok, but I had to book an extra night prior to the week I booked and I asked them for the same rate and they charged me $862. I could have stayed in a 5 star resort for that, it definitely wasn’t worth the $862 AUD.

Over $450 for this hotel? Insanity.
It was so loud, even when the window was closed. The old fashioned a:c machine was almost as loud as a hair dryer. Meagre toiletries. Such a rip off. Parking access is down a super sketchy alley.

Great central location, easy walk to major attractions. Plenty of regular public transport if you prefer.
Affordable accommodation. Clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.
All good here.

It was central to where I needed to be for the event I was attending and to the city as a whole
The aircon was too loud to use at night and being a city location you couldn’t open the windows

Best hotel in our two week stay in Canada.
What gave this hotel the edge, apart from the excellent location and the beautiful period building and garden was the staff who clearly care about the place and the guests and want to make it the best experience they can.
Be aware city taxes increase the advertised parking rate substantially

Really liked the retro style. The fabulous garden in the relaxing courtyard with table tennis was a real bonus. Having the coffee shop right next door- serving excellent coffee was very convenient. Also the location is great.

Very retro and quirky. Calm oasis in the middle. Decent location close to ferries to Granville Island and walkable to the Waterfront/Stanley Park/ Davie Street.
Staff at reception did not ask us if we needed any info about the neighbourhood or the facilities (We discovered the free bikes, table tennis and the tourist leaflets on checkout), Air conditioning a bit noisy.

Top floor room was hot and the air conditioner was very noisy.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable..
The room I was in faced the street and a hospital. Noise from ambulances, cars and motorcycles was constant. We had two rooms arriving at different times, and the desk clerk insisted that the first arrival take the room key for the second even though the second arrival was expected at 2 a.m.!

My husband and I stayed at The Burrard for two nights. We had an excellent stay! The front desk personnel from check-in, throughout our stay and even after check-out were extremely friendly, polite and very helpful. We had room #323 with a garden view. It was very clean and comfortable. It was nice having the coffee/tea service, refrigerator in the room and bottles of water each day as well as cleaning our room.
There were non-alcoholic drinks as well as snacks at night in the lobby. We didn’t get a chance to sit in the garden area but it looked nice. The hotel is centrally located and there are many restaurants near by including one off the lobby and one next door. There is a vintage vibe to the hotel. We didn’t have any noise issues. There is paid laundry in the basement, a ping pong table and free bikes to use.
I definitely recommend staying at The Burrard while in Vancouver!
One suggestion is to have a small ramp to wheel luggage into the lobby and perhaps doors that open automatically.

The location was great - helpful staff
Rooms were very small and no storage for large bags
8.0 / 10.0
The Burrard was very clean and the staff was friendly. I liked the retro design of the building. I liked that it had a cafe attached to it and it is on a main street that leads to the shopping.
We were only at the Burrard for one night before leaving on a cruise. Our stay amounted to about 12 hours and I felt it was quite expensive. Though the room was very clean, it was extremely small and I do not care for having a dehumidifier type machine taking up most of the space on one side of the room.

The location was perfect. Walkable to most things. Transit nearby if needed. The neighborhood was safe at all hours. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked and the bathroom was nice. Having a bathtub was a plus. The front desk and room cleaning staff were charming and helpful.
Our stay was fantastic. Two little things: The conditioner bottle in the shower was out of conditioner. The coffeemaker would not turn off. Once it started making a cup of coffee, it just kept going and going. Turning it off was the only was to stop it.
