Charming guesthouse with superb hosts.

Gorgeous view from the balcony. Hotel is run by mother and daugther team that are so friendly and helpful. The balcony is large enough to sit and eat meals on and the kitchen is large enough to cook most any meal. We enjoyed the pool, but my favorite thing was the infrared sauna, so relaxing!

It is an older house so not super noise insulated, I didn't hear anything but I was worried my kids would annoy other hotel guests.

Lovely short break

Village location suited us as quiet but a good base to explore the area. Buses into Innsbruck very efficient and the village itself had all we needed with restaurants and a good supermarket. Andrea was helpful when needed and the bakery delivery for breakfast very handy.

Very Nice Location and easy access to city.

There was no breakfast at the property but they have a very good Bread Delivery Service every morning, The Breads were very good and the service was also good.

It was ok overall but there is room for some improvements. 1. The pillows were very very soft and not comfortables. They could be better. 2. We stayed for 5 days and it would be good to have a policy for towel change after every 2-3 days as within 5 days they start smelling. We requested to the host and they kindly provided us with extra towels. 3. Like most of Airbnbs and apartment it would be good to put some tea bags, sugar sachet, etc when you arrive. They did provide 2 coffee capsules but a tea hamper would have been good for non-coffee drinkers.

Large 2 bedroom apartment with large balcony and wonderful views.

Very welcoming owners. Well equipped kitchen. Large balcony. Lovely views. Very quiet area, with local restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Good bus and tram links into Innsbruck.

The beds were a bit hard. But that is personal opinion.

If you need accommodation in Innsbruck, THIS IS IT!

Waldhaus Igls is a beautiful, spacious accommodation located approx 20 minutes outside of Innsbruck city centre. It is fantastically accessible (though up a hill!) There are local buses running frequently to the city from a nearby stop and some charming restaurants and cafes in the town of Igls itself. You are well situated on the J bus line, which goes from Nordkette station to Patscherkofel, and there is a swimming lake also within easy reach using the same bus. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained; Family Wolf are excellent attentive hosts and were always available for our questions. We were seven guests and there was plenty of room. The views of the surrounding landscape were breathtaking, even in the summer. The facilities within the property were excellent. The onsite sauna and swimming pool were a godsend for tired travellers, or even to cool down on a hot day. The ability to pre-order fresh bread and pastries was a true luxury as well, setting us up well for breakfast and enabling us to pack a delicious lunch for our day. The property is well-built and noises from other guests were at a minimum.

If you have limited mobility, the location could be an issue if travelling by public transport. There is a 3-5 minute walk up a hill from the bus stop to the accommodation. However that was not my experience and Ubers were able to drive right to the door.

A pleasant place in a quiet location. Good value.

We had a complete unit, roomy, complete kitchen, dining area, large bed in an older building. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Parking is free. Because we stayed for 3 nights we qualified for the Innsbruck free transit pass. Consequently we traveled all over using public transit. The bus stop was 3 minutes away and the bus came every 10 minutes into town. The tram was 15 minutes away and comes every 60 minutes. Several restaurants are in the village. A grocery store is 10-12 minutes away but an uphill walk back. The property is in a quiet neighborhood.

Food shopping is not very convenient. No other negatives come to mind.

It was a very peaceful location and the staff were accommodating and friendly.

It’s about 20 mins from the town centre so keep that in mind. But they have a bus stop close by.

Not at all as photos shown in terms of old. A bit disappointing when first seen. Only garden view, no Mountain View as said and expected to see (This is not a good sign of honesty) Furniture is quite old and seems to be old everywhere apart from bathroom where heater doesn’t work and all over the place seems the same. We came early May that temperature is around 5-10 degree!! Unpleasant after taking shower and wake up in the morning. Kitchen is really small, one person max! feel very squeeze but well equipped. Lack of toaster but owner added it after asking for. I don’t mind to be in an old place but better decoration and furnishings. I found a hair on the bed. Lady must be in a hurry to prepare bed and uncheck before ready to next customers. I feel that they lack of attention but only take customer to fill in their place. Pillows are the worst. Too thin even I slept with two of them which is not normal. Just hope that no ache nowhere. So far I have no impress and so happy to leave the place after 2 nights stay. This is the second time that I want to leave the place as quick in 30 years of traveling. (First photo shows hair, second is lack of care and attention, third is maximum heat but no heat no where all over the place owner might set automatic but forget that individual has their own feeling, forth is squeeze kitchen unpleasant to use) not worth for the price as in Salzburg I paid a little more expensive but far better and nothing to complain about)

Large, nice, peaceful and fully-equipped apartment in a central quiet village - mostly recommended

Large apartment in a nice village, nearby Insbruck, fully equipped, with a nice garden for ground apartments, a very quiet and peaceful environment, full of trees and plants, with parking next to the house, and a very kind lady that owns the place. Nice fields and forests around the village where you can hike calmly and absorb the environment.

The bed was not comfortable! We ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed the second night which was a little better. We would have loved to have a small fan.

A nice 10 days enjoyable period to a typical Austrian area, Igls will never fail.

Location was ideal for our type of holiday, wanderlust, hosts & scenery. Will return soon but by air ! Easy bus to villages, shopping local & distance, tram rides coupled with welcome card & little parting gift that is now displayed at home.

Overall nice and recommend!

The room is clean and nice. The host is kind and refilled the toilet paper very quick after our request. Nice location if we want to go skiing, only five stations away but a little bit far away from the city center.

Unfortunately we don't have the chance to use the Saune there. We stayed for one week and there's no cleaning service for the room during our stay. The neighbor is a bit noisy during the night, or maybe this is due to a poor sound insulation of the room.

The location was superb..near to the city but up in the mountains..perfect

There was little or no interaction with any of the staff at all. No guidance on the use of facilities, no being shown around,no tips or ideas of where to go or where to eat...basically no interest at all. For a team which professes warm hospitality it was definitely lacking.

good potential poor reality

it is nice apparent, we ate there only breakfast so for us the kitchen was well equipped. the apparent had nice terrace.

the hospitality was below of ever we come across with. it's written that the sauna operates all year, and that isn't exactly the case. you need to ask in advance the exact hour you want to use it. in the second day of our staying i woke up to a terrible noise of Chainsaw. i step outside asking the owner what's going on and she said because it's a good weather day, the gardener came to work, feather more she said your husband is awake?! It never even crossed her mind to apologize, i told her that this is vacation apartment and that noise is not a vacation!!!

Great stay in friendly and comfortable accommodation

Comfortable spacious studio. Kitchen very well equipped. Attractive gardens and an easy walk to the centre of Igls. Staff very welcoming and organised a welcome card from the tourist office which gave us free transport on local trains and buses and some mountain lifts.

A very spacious apartment with direct access to the garden. Large, comfortable bed. The swimming pool was a bonus. Igls is a pretty and quiet location within walking distance of the Pitscherkoffel cable car.

Beautiful building, very accessible by public transport. Lovely garden for kids to run around in. Nice balcony to sit out on. Clean. Access to washing machine. Swimming pool and table tennis are a great addition. Tourist card giving free access to public transport and some cable cars/attractions was great. Responded promptly to questions.

Dated decor, would have been helpful to have a folder or some info on where things are like an iron as it felt like we were disturbing them which could have been avoided.

Highly recommend staying here, it was the highlight of our trip!

Loved everything about this place! From the sleeping accommodations, to the charming town around it! Wonderfully clean, very well kept, and beautifully organized! The view from the deck was so relaxing and gorgeous. The yard was mowed, there were flowers planted in the planter box on the deck. Our host went above and beyond! We needed extra pillows and a fan, and she brought it to us. She even had an order form for us to fill out every night by 8pm so we could have fresh pastries in the morning (which we did every day and they were amazing!!). This place was even walking distance to two restaurants (maybe even more) that were so delicious. One was a pizza place, and once had an assortment of food. Very friendly, great ambiance, 5 stars all across the board for the food! Our accommodations were tranquil, clean, and relaxing. We toured 5 countries while we were in Europe, and this place was hands-down our favorite part of the trip!
