If you need help, advice, or a recommendation from staff they will go above and beyond. For real, so nice. The bed was large and comfortable, in a quiet part of the flat, and we appreciated the blackout curtains. The neighborhood is charming with good walking and quick access to the waterfront for sunsets and sport. We also appreciated the security of the parking lot.
The room is a converted apartment, so there's a lot you won't need, since Vancouver specializes in restaurants. There were a few "hostel" details that didn't meet the price point (e.g., luggage locker and no housekeeping), but we were fine in the end.

The Sunset Hotel was perfect for my husband and me. The location was great as everything was walkable. Restaurants, bars, shopping, tourist destinations, Sunset Beach, etc. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Having a laundry room available was great. We didn't use the free luggage storage but that was a nice service. The staff at the front desk was always welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay again!
The bathroom was a bit cramped but had luxury shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and lotion. The sirens from the nearby hospital were a bit annoying but never kept us awake.

Great Location, staff was friendly (when they were there), comfortable beds.
A few items from previous guests were left there, not very clean. Expensive.
