The enchanting harbour town of Dartmouth is situated on the banks of the River Dart in the South Devon National Landscape. Explore Castle Cove (2.5 miles), a secluded sand and pebble beach hidden by cliffs and trees, which leads on to Sugary Cove, also 2.5 miles away, and paddle the coastline yourself aboard canoes and surfboards. Overlooked by both beaches, guarding the narrow entrance to the Dart Estuary, discover Dartmouth Castle (2.5 miles) to admire stunning views of the estuary and out to sea. Cruise past Dartmouth Castle, Bayards Cove, Warfleet Creek and many more scenic spots aboard the Dartmouth Paddle Steamer, the only of its kind in the country.
