I had high hopes when I stayed there, but to be honest, I was very disappointed. 1. when I opened the door, the smell of curry filled the entire flat; even after opening all the windows wide, the smell wouldn’t go away. (The owner sent us a deodorising spray.) 2. None of the plates or glasses stored in the kitchen had been wiped down and were still wet. It was unpleasant, so I had to wash them all again before using them. 3. The ‘kitchen roll’ in the kitchen turned out to be toilet paper. As mentioned above, all the plates were still wet, and I wanted to dry it after washing it, but as toilet paper may contain deodorising chemicals or other additives, I naturally couldn’t use it and was forced to use the washed items without drying them. I imagine they must have run out of kitchen roll, but the idea of using toilet paper as a substitute was simply unacceptable. 4. The bed mattress in the spare bedroom is so uncomfortable that it feels as though the springs inside are pressing directly against my body.
