We found the lodge and the owners charming. It’s really a perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. This little hideaway with its pretty terrace overlooking the garden is a gem for lingering over a coffee. Comfortable, charming and economical all in one place. I highly recommend this home.

The lodge is exactly as in the pictures. It’s cosy and homey. The bathroom was nice, had enough room and shower space is large. Bedrooms are of a good size. The garden is lovely. You can sit outside and enjoy it. The owners of the lodge are very friendly and welcoming. There was a nice basket with goodies and a bottle of wine, juice, and milk in the fridge. We, however, don’t drink alcohol, but appreciated the gesture.
The beds were a bit too narrow for us, mattresses too soft and pillows on the hard side. But other people may like this. (:
