Montgomery Apartments - Stevensons

Light airy and very clean. Great location, half an hour to town, 1 min to bus stop. Local shops 2 minute walk. Easy to use lockbox on arrival, great instructions and a little instruction video Bathroom very clean with shampoo, conditioner and lovely shower gel, good shower pressure Very good communication from host, swift replies. We had a lovely stay and the apartment met our needs, we slept really well. The stay cost just under £900 for 3 nights which is the eyewatering cost of an August stay in Edinburgh. We would recommend and would stay again

Overall finish needed a little freshen up, the sofa and table had been well used and paintwork was chipped in several places. The property was very clean with the exception of the radiators which held lots of dust bunnies. Blind or a net curtain in the triple bedroom would have helped with privacy as it looked out onto the main road. The bathroom window was frosted but not sure how much privacy it gave from the outside when the light was on at night, as it is ground floor and overlooked by several properties As I mentioned the bathroom very clean, unfortunately there was some grout missing between the tiles on the bathroom floor, my toes caught in the gaps several times which was a little painful but no damage done. The above are minor issues and we still recommend and would stay again

Brilliant location with on street parking. Two minutes from bus stop which takes you into the city,

The location is great; maybe 3 minute walk to the bus stop. Everything worked properly. Good amount of space in the living room for 5 people. Easy to access the WIFI. They had a book on the coffee table to help answer any questions. Both bedrooms are very spacious. The master bedroom bed is comfortable. My children stayed in the second with the 3 twin beds; I can only guess they were fine. I didn't hear them complain. Easy check-in with the key box on the house. The home supplied soaps, shampoos, laundry powder etc. to make the stay more comfortable.

The host hadn't emailed me the key-box code even by check-in time, which was 4pm. Luckily, my son-in-law could make phone calls with his phone. The first phone number supplied to call if any questions or problems, we were told they could not give us anything and to call the host. We got the host with the next phone number and he gave us the code and finally emailed it as well. After all that was resolved, we had no issues with our stay.

We like the location as a family. Really easy to commute to Edinburgh city centre. Local shops and takeaways a 2 minute walk away. Close to the tram. 2 spacious bedrooms that accommodated us as a family of 5. Good WiFi also.

The apartment could do with a few little extras to make it more appealing. Not decorated as well as it could be. On arrival there were a few kitchen items missing but once I contacted the owner they came in the next day to replace the dish cloth, tea towel and oven glove that was missing. Also the unstable table and dining chairs were fixed as requested. They also replaced the duvet in the main bedroom as requested. Toilet seat was loose which needed fixed but all in all what we needed it for it served its purpose. I think it was a bit expensive for what it was but overall the property was fine.
