One of the best Booking.com places we've ever stayed

Comfortable and sizeable property with a great owner, would consider for future visits

The owner was great with communication throughout the transaction. We managed to retrieve the key via a lockbox without issue and when we sent him messages throughout the stay he replied very quickly, even during the Christmas period. The property is a full 2 storey house with a private parking space around the back. Quite a well furnished kitchen, and easy to use central heating made it a comfortable stay during winter. We rented an EV and there is a public car park 3 mins walk away that has 75kWh fast charging available. It's around 15 mins walk from Hermiston Gait retail park and the Edinburgh Park tram station, so if you don't rent a car the property is still fairly accessible.

While manageable, this property is a little out of the way, so renting a car is highly recommended if you plan on going out alot.

Amazing space for family, worth staying with a group!

Spacious, very large area for family.

Shower heads rusting, vents making weird noise in washroom upstairs and finally fridge randomly beeping its alarm even though it was shut.

Extreamly dirty, not well equipped and very greasy in the kitchen, all furniture and equipment are worn out. The property are not well maintained and clean. The last bit of coffee left unchanged before we arrived and water from fridge and alarm went off day & night.

Good value in modern home close to train

Nice space and nice neighborhood, fairly easy walk to two train stations, clean, easy to communicate with the host, restaurant nearby.

All the basics were supplied, but we could have used paper towels, coffee filters and washcloths. In fairness I didn't request these items from the owner.

Overall, it's an acceptable accommodation. It's well-located, close to a bus stop and train station.

I had a very positive experience with the host. He was exceptionally helpful, providing useful information regarding key pickup and responding communicatively to all our questions. In messages, we received plenty of helpful details about nearby shops and restaurants etc. Furthermore, if any issues arose with the accommodation, they quickly and efficiently resolved them. Upon our arrival, there were fresh flowers on the table.

The kitchen was not well-equipped. If they expand it in the future, for example, with a few pots, a corkscrew, etc., it will be perfect. It could have been warmer, but we mentioned it in a message, and it got resolved. Cleanliness was not the best; the utensils were dirty, and the bathrooms were not the cleanest. With better attention to cleanliness, these issues can be addressed.

The home had most things our family needed. It was comfortable and pretty easy to get to - with buses a short walk. The host was very accomodating and responsive which was wonderful. The two bathrooms were great with our family of 4 adults and a child.

The kitchen could have been a little better equiped with a few more utensils - but this was not a major issue. The heating was hit and miss as it was on a timer and it was quite cold at times (we were there over new years so it was cold in Edinburgh!)

Disappointing especially for the price.

No attention to detail in cleaning. We had to clean the place ourselves before we put our things away in kitchen and bathroom. Contacted host who arranged for cleaner to come the next day and wipe kitchen floor but was too little too late.

Clean, good location to the gyle and airport. The host even came to provide me with a cot last minute. He arrived within 10 minutes of me requesting one. 10/10 - 100% recommend!
