Villa Olivi

the Viia is fantastic, the architecture is amazing, the garden a dream, you feel your in a remote setting and yet you are only a 20 minuet easy walk from the centre of Perugia, with the help of the fantastic escalator system. Elisabetta and her husband are so nice and very helpful a lovely couple and hosts. I will be coming back here again and again. I love the Villa Olivi, Perugia and Italy.

Hou je van overnachten in een prachtige 19e eeuwse villa en ’s ochtends ontbijten in een betoverende tuin? Dan moet je hier zijn! Wat een fantastische plek en uitvalsbasis om Perugia te ontdekken! We verbleven 6 dagen in appartement Maria op het gelijkvloers: ruim, comfortabel en met veel respect voor de authentieke stijl vernieuwd. Het plafondfresco, de goed uitgeruste keuken en de verzorgde badkamer maakten het helemaal af. De tuin, het echte hart van de villa, is simpelweg adembenemend. De met liefde ontworpen bloemenperken en een paar prachtige bomen maken het tot een heerlijke plek om te vertoeven en te vertragen. De villa ligt bovendien op wandelafstand van het historische centrum en in de directe omgeving zit een leuke wijnbar en meerdere restaurantjes. Tot slot nog een dankwoord aan de eigenaars, die zo behulpzaam en gastvrij waren en ons een heerlijk verblijf bezorgden. Een absolute aanrader. Niet twijfelen, boeken!

If you are looking for a very special experience this is the place to be. We stayed for 9 nights, it was a great base from which to explore Umbria. The villa (3 apartments) and the garden, rather a small park, are extraordinarily beautiful with an authentic historic feel. The flowers spread wonderful scents and you can wander around, or find a place to relax in the sun or in the shade. The big Lebanese ceder is impressive. It all feels very private and the owners Elisabetta and Gianni, who live in a house next door, are the nicest and most gentle hosts you could wish for. The centre of Perugia is just a short walk away, the San Pietro church ( tower visible from the garden), restaurants and small supermarket are even closer.

Nothing! It was hard to leave this amazing place.
