Mountain Ash Cottage

Really nice looking place. There were multiple rooms, plenty of sleeping area, beds were comfortable, everything was clean. Kitchen was nice, had everything we needed. The property is close by to a lot of beautiful areas. Overall this stay is exactly what we needed and more, we had more than enough space and had a comfortable time.

Struggled to find the place, the directions misleading and had to call the owner, but they assisted us to find it. We couldn't get the WiFi to work meaning couldn't watch TV, pretty sure it just needed a restart but we were too lazy. There is train tracks right behind the property, can get noisy at times but it's not too much of a hassle.

Nice place. No loud sound interferences. Amazing environment. A preferable place to enjoy the summer vacation.

The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space - it was nice having a separate living room at the rear of the property, though there was no access to the garden. Having both downstairs and upstairs toilets was useful as there were four of us.

There was no working wifi so absolutely nothing on the TV worked - not even terrestrial channels. I texted the owners several times but they weren't able to help us. Also, the postcode took us to the wrong property on the opposite side of the road, so better directions would be useful. There's a cold marble floor in the dining room with a step going down into the kitchen which couldn't easily be seen, so consequently we all tripped down it (definitely a hazard and nasty accident waiting to happen). I informed the owners and suggested they put coloured tape or something on it so people were aware of the step. Constant noise in the night that sounded like a really loud 1950s sci-fi sound effect... quite cool, but very difficult to sleep (was informed by one of our bleary-eyed party in the morning that it was from the train track at the back of the house). There's a busy road at the front of the property and no parking, so you have to take your life into your own hands by running across it to get to on-street parking on a road opposite.
