We loved staying in this smart and spacious 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night. Very comfortable beds. Convenient location as a base for many walking options in the Brecon Beacons.

It was not a problem for us, but we could hear some sounds from the flat above.

Disappointing stay – poorly maintained appliances Our check-in time was 3pm, and the owner had kindly agreed to let us check in at 2pm. Unfortunately, we arrived at around 3pm due to a delay, but the property was still being cleaned when we arrived. We had to wait around 10–15 minutes for the cleaner to finish before we could enter. Once inside, we asked the cleaner about using the washing machine as we had planned to wash clothes during our stay. We were told that the washing machine was broken. When we opened it, we found it was in a very poor and unhygienic condition, with standing water inside. We then used the dishwasher to wash our dishes that evening, but the following morning we found dirty standing water inside the dishwasher as well. This appeared to be a drainage/maintenance issue. As a result, with two children, we were unable to properly use either appliance during our stay and had to wash dishes by hand. We immediately informed the owner, who apologised and explained that the cleaner had not reported the problems to them in time. However, this explanation was difficult to understand because, when we arrived and specifically asked about using the washing machine, the cleaner already knew that it was broken and told us it was not ready to use. It therefore seems that the issue was known before or at the time of our arrival. Someone came the following morning to look at the dishwasher and apparently fixed it, although we were told that the water would drain slowly. We did not feel comfortable taking the risk of using it again, so we continued washing everything by hand. We were also told that someone else would need to inspect the washing machine and that we would need to be at the property for this. We were on holiday, not staying at the property to wait for maintenance visits.
