Lovely little cottage with beautiful views from its position on the hill. The interior is very pleasant, cosy and nicely decorated, with lots of character from the stone walls. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was a perfect size for two people for a short stay. It was also very well equipped, although we didn't need to use much of it during our two-night stay. The little extras in the fridge, including oat milk, were a lovely touch. Communication with the host was excellent, especially considering we booked very last minute. They were available and helpful even late in the evening, which I really appreciated. I also loved the unexpected visit from a rooster! 🐓😍 I just wish there had been more farm animals around. Overall, a lovely, cosy place for a short stay.
The main thing that needs attention is the driveway. It is in quite poor condition and very steep, so it can be a little challenging, although you obviously can't drive fast on it anyway. Cleanliness could also be better. I noticed greasy fingerprints around the cabinet handles and knobs, and the wooden chopping board had quite a lot of greasy residue on it. I would definitely replace it with a board that can be cleaned and sanitised properly. The bed also needed to be moved slightly, as originally the person sleeping by the window would have struggled to get out without stepping over the other bed. The TV is also very slow — it takes at least a minute just to turn on! 😅 The location is quite remote and a fair distance from the places I would normally visit, although this was a last-minute booking and I knew that when choosing it. I was also offered an upgrade to the top-floor cottage, but the additional price was more than I would have paid through Booking.com, so I decided to stay with the original booking. Despite these points, the cottage itself was comfortable and enjoyable for a short stay.

I liked the view and the fact that the bedding smelled so lovely. I liked the little patio and the small windows and the beautiful mountain view from the bedroom window. I absolutely fell in love with the stone walls around the property and cosy low ceilings. Water was warm in the shower and plenty of utensils to choose from in the kitchen.
I didn't like the fact that the bedroom door was very hard to shut (latch wasn't fitting in properly). I also did not like the fact there were no curtain to give privacy to the person sleeping in the open space upstairs (despite the fact there was an old attachment at the ceiling). I didn't like the fact we were not given the code to the gate to enter the property and had to call the owner twice in order to get the code. For such a price I would also expect not to see the fake artificial grass at the patio outside the cottage - it is better just to leave plain stones rather than artificial grass. It just spoiled the natural look. I did not like the noise of renovations at the property, there were builders walking around when I was trying to read a book at the patio. Once I even seen an owner with a very long machete type of knife walking past me when I was sitting with my pyjamas on the patio. Window in the bathroom could not open as there was no way of reaching so high (it was very hot that week) so no ventilation when using the toilet. Also, there was plenty of dust on the bathroom floor.
