Great place to stat

The property was spacious, with a good size lounge, dining room and kitchen. We were a group of 3 couples and had plenty of room. It suited us fine but would also suit a family well. A nice elevated seating area outside. The location was good with access to Cardiff via train, the station was just a 15 to 20 minute walk. Supermarket 15 minute walk. The owners, Bob and Tracy, were very welcoming and gave us a few recommendations of where to go and what to see. The perfect hosts.

My next comment is more advisory, the walk from the main road is a steep hill. I am not the fitness person and managed the hill, but just consider this when booking your stay, i would suggest if you have mobility restrictions you check with the owners first.

Lovely stay during Christmas

The house is in a beautiful location. It was cosy but spacious. The best part was the lovely Christmas decorations that greeted us when we arrived. Felt like home away from Home.

this is a wonderfully spacious house with everything you could possibly need provided. spotlessly clean and the most accommodating owners. I cannot fault it as a place to explore the Brecon Beacons.

Spacious, characterful home, beautiful views, great host.

Beautiful views to wake up to every morning. A good location to reach both the waterfall country in Brecon Beacons and also not too far from Cardiff and Swansea. Tracey was very helpful and communicative especially when we needed to seek guidance on local excursions. The living room was especially comfy and the house itself was generously apportioned with plenty of rooms to stay in and 2 spacious bathrooms available.

The ceiling light fixtures were dusty and had cobwebs even though the property was otherwise very clean. The freezer wasn't working properly.

House and garden were lovely.

The top floor had two bedrooms, not three. There is no door and wall between the L shaped room's beds. If you had two single people who didn't know each other staying, you would not put them in the space.

Hosts were very welcoming and happy to help if needed, however everything went fine so no help was needed in the end. Lovely house and a good size for a group of folks wanting somewhere to stay.

Great all round and very reasonably priced

The property is very spacious, well decorated, tidy ,comfy beds and lovely 2 bathrooms. We had a great time. Brecon Beacons are in a very easy reach and the drive towards them is just spectacular. There is also a lovely hike just on a doorstep which makes it even more special. Tracy was prompt to answer to my messages which made our experience even more pleasurable.

We are glad we arrived in a small car as the roads are quite narrow leading up to the house but that is not uncommon so all good and expected. No negatives - everything perfect

Brilliant property!

We loved the property! it was suitable for big group of people, the bathrooms has plenty of space. how the house is set out is beautiful! plenty of room throughout the house if required. One of the best places I’ve booked and recommend this house to anyone. We had the best time ever, thank you for the best quality stay! the owners are lovely, and very welcoming! again thank you.

The location was absolutely stunning, house is so classy and well decorated that it was hard to finally check out. The host made sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable, I specially loved the hand written greetings card.

Definitely one not to miss

Beautiful house in a lovely location. The host was super friendly and only a phone call away if we needed, but as we didn't need we were at ease to enjoy our stay. Mabon House is comfortably furnished and has every convenience needed to feel home from home but with a touch of luxury. We booked at short notice and the who process was smooth. We feel that Mabon House is the best value for money we have ever found and are looking to return there in the future for a longer stay. I can't recommend this place highly enough, I feel unbelievably lucky to have found Mabon House.
