Bliss & Comfort

The beds are comfortable, and the linen is very pleasant. Liked the blinds, Tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, a nice touch. Easy access to property.

Wonky floors all over the house, damp smell coming from the basement area, only a 3-seat sofa in the lounge area. Needs an armchair. A handrail on the front steps is needed as a steps a little dangerous. Had to hunt for 3rd bath towel in downstairs cupboard.

The property was clean and amenable. There was everything that you needed at the property for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely accommodating. Whenever, I had a question or request, she was able to support without any complaint at all. She was absolutely brilliant and I would recommend people to stay at this property if they choose to visit Colchester. It is also in close proximity to the town centre which meant there is only a short walk to go shopping.

There is not much opportunity for parking if you have a car.

Good location and a nice property, option to book a room or the whole property which was great. Beds were comfy and facilities were more than adequate for our stay. Easy process to check in and get keys, although clearer information on local parking would have made this even better.

The host had an issue with their security camera (ring doorbells) going offline. Despite me responding to all messages about this and offering to check the WiFi etc, I received an incredibly rude email late on our first night accusing us of tampering with the system and threatening to evict us from the property. The poor apology the next day and no follow up to let us know if they had resolved the issue left a really bad taste in my mouth and made me incredibly uncomfortable. I had not intended to review the property for this reason (I do not like to leave negative reviews as things can happen) but have been bombarded with requests for feedback.
