Last Yan - Stylish Ambleside Stay

We were looking for an apartment in a central location in Ambleside and Last Yan fitted our needs perfectly. It is smack in the middle of the town and a short walk from a great selection of bars, restaurants, shops and other facilities. We have a dog, so had searched for pet friendly accommodation and, once again, Last Yan proved to be perfect for us, with a large park in short walking distance, just past the church. Short stay parking (1 hour between 10am and 6pm) was available on our street, though that was often fully occupied. However, the same short term parking is also available on the adjacent Church Street. We only really used this for loading and unloading the car on arrival and departure. Long stay parking is also available in the nearby car parks and this is free through registering your car in advance. We did that by contacting Paul and Sally-Anne a couple of weeks prior to our arrival. I mainly used the Lake Road car park which was a short 5 minute walk from the apartment. The apartment was comfortable and well furnished, with good wardrobe space, an excellent bed and a well equipped kitchen. Being located just off of the very quiet Compston Street, sleep was totally uninterrupted. All communications were excellent, with Paul and Sally-Anne answering most messages within minutes. I received a welcome message on my phone before arrival and it provided a perfect guide to finding and entering the apartment. All-in-all, I'd highly recommend Last Yan for a short, medium or long stay in Ambleside. We will certainly use it again next time we visit the town.

It was so clean,comfortable, it was 1st class on Wednesday everything, they even left us milk and a bottle of wine,which was very much appreciated.

It was so clean which is a big thing for us,it was roomy and comfortable, and right in the town.

Lovely newly tastefully decorated property located in a very central location yet in a quiet residential area. The property was very clean and upon arrival an electric fire added to the cosy ambience.

Hosts were really sweet. Paul brought me miltk, wine, and chocolate on arrival. There was an unexpected power outage in the neighborhood when I arrived, due to some problems at the substation. He infomed me about it and came over with fully charged battery lights, portable mobile chargers, and an additional bottle of wine. Thankfully the power was restored within half an hour or so and I did not need to use the lights. They even came over and offered to help me with the luggage while I was leaving. The location was ideal: Two to three minutes to bus stops and restaurants, yet in a quiet lane. An easy walk to the lake. I felt safe. The house was clean, had a lot of natural light, and had all the appliances i needed. The directions to locate and enter the house were clear. Will certianly recommend to others and will happily come again.

Nothing really. If I have to suggest improvements, I would say, the bed was not firm enough for me.
