About this cottage rental
Recently refurbished to a very high standard, Clare Cottage is a traditional Lakeland stone built terraced cottage situated centrally in the beautiful village of Ambleside. With accommodation over 3 floors, the cottage provides ample accommodation for 6, it is deceptively spacious. The traditional comforts such as a log burning stove are complimented by contemporary furnishings, new bathrooms and kitchen. There are magnificent views to the front and rear of the property from the upper levels and with all the amenities of Ambleside on your doorstep, including shops & restaurants as well as walks for all abilities, a car is not essential.

Clare Cottage was a very comfortable stay in the best location. It is actually right in the heart of Ambleside but because it is on a narrow, windy and mostly residential street it gets very little traffic so is blissfully quiet. The views from the top floor bedrooms over the rooftops and chimneys to the hills beyond is wonderful - especially for watching the weather change.

Everything about Clare Cottage was as specified and met our expectations fully. The only problem being that we arrived in pouring rain and the location of the key box made it difficult to read the combination and release the key. Otherwise everything great

Great location in the heart of Ambleside. Great space inside the cottage with everything that you could need. With a very special touch of a bottle of wine and a pack if biscuits on arrival. Bed very comfortable and everything was spotless. Great stay and highly recommend.
