The property has the distinct advantage of a private driveway for one vehicle and a parking permit for a second vehicle on the street. Ambleside is an excellent location, not just for keen walkers but also for those who enjoy restaurants, bars and cafés, browsing around the shops or a variety of gentle strolls to Windermere lakeshore or alongside Rydal Water to Grasmere. There are numerous hikes and shorter walks directly from the house, not requiring a car.
