Loved our stay here!

Great location, comfortable beds and sofas, well-equipped kitchen, easy access to busses and rail. Loved Ambleside as a home base during our Lake District stay.

Wished there was a way to get/return key without going to office. Without a vehicle, it made for a long walk to pick up and drop off the keys while family had to wait with luggage at the bus stop.

Excellent stay in a central location. Couldn't ask for more for our family of 6.

The location, cleanliness and comfort of the cottage were excellent. The beds and bathrooms were particularly high quality. The Kitchen was very well equipped to cook also. Everything we could need or want. A great property and will stay again.

The outside of the cottage could do with some attention and initially I was a little concerned as we arrived. There was an old broken down car outside the cottage and the small garden is very overgrown and the window looked dirty. However, upon entering we were delighted as the cottage smelt very clean and looked immaculate. A happy surprise.

Fantastic accommodation.

Absolutely lovely cottage. Really clean and spacious for 4 of us. We ate in a few nights to keep costs down and I was delighted by how well equipped the kitchen was.

Sometimes tricky to get parked in street and parking around Ambleside is restricted. There’s a small yard area which could do with a bit of attention to make a more usable space.

Pleasant break in a very central location

Very pleasant cottage in the very centre of Ambleside. It’s has been refurbished to a high standard. The only slight downside is the power of the showers, but still adequate. The bath is massive, but didn’t get a chance to use it as we wanted to get out quickly and be out late 😀 We didn’t have a car, but I would assume parking is difficult outside as it was always occupied, but there is a car park 100 yards away (no idea of charges). I would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay and would return.

Compact but spacious cottage with excellent facilities very well located in the town to allow walks without use of car.

All good but would recommend sharpening knives and maybe provision of more basics for home cooking eg olive oile/herbs.

Well located house in quiet street. We would stay again (max 4 people)

Well located to the small village area/shops. We cooked whilst there and found the kitchen to be well equipped. Bed was a good size

Shower in the upstairs bathroom had slow water pressure but otherwise a good property to stay in for 4 people. In my opinion it would be quite tight for 6 people. The main bedroom on 1st level didn't have block out curtains so light woke me up at 4am most mornings. Its an easy thing to fix with some block out curtains (for summers). Linen in main bedroom was ok, but could be updated.

There were no instructions for how to work the fire 🔥 so we couldn’t use it - only on the last morning did we look underneath and find a control button there - would be useful to have that info left out

Good location

When arrived house was freezing and took several calls to get heating switched on. Difficult to get keys from office, couldn’t park outside the property and car park was a 10 minutes walk away.

We loved the location, comfort and amenities that this lovely cottage offered.

The location was ideal!! The place was very clean, comfortable and quiet spacious for the four of us. Loved having the washer and dryer as we did need to use them. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with needed equipment / dishes, etc. Would have appreciated a designated parking spot on the street outside though. When there is no spots you have to drive to find a municipal car park.

Great location with in 1 min walk of pubs, cafe’s, shops , entertainment, restaurants and more .. great location.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped.

Parking not the best , one of the parking permits was out of date but no big deal as only overnight parking needed . Shower head did not fit the head holder down stairs / no hand soap in up stairs bathroom / the back door would not lock properly (latch plate to low - door dropped) / only 4 dining chairs for accommodation that sleeps 6 .
