The detached thatched-roof house “MeerZeitHaus” on Wismar Bay was built in 2019 and is located in the tasteful and quiet vacation home community “De Poeler Drift” in Zierow. Here you can relax and let your children play far away from traffic, as the area is fenced in.
Older children can also go on their own to the playground or explore the surrounding area. The private vacation home community is surrounded by fields, about 400 m from the natural beach.
In the spring and summer, the beach and the sea are naturally the highlights, but the spacious garden also offers plenty of summer fun. When the weather’s bad, you can make yourself comfortable in this 97-square-meter vacation home, warm up in the sauna and by the wood-burning stove, cook in the fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy a cozy movie or game night.
Of course, Wismar, as well as many seaside resorts and Hanseatic cities, also beckon with their wealth of offerings. There are plenty of excursion options and all kinds of activities available here (e.g., sailing, biking, horseback riding), and a folder with many tips is ready for you.
The dream of living under a natural roof with the comforts of a modern home becomes a reality here. The bright interior, featuring a modern Scandinavian design in white, gray, oak, and a few pops of color, is soothing just to look at. The entire house is tiled and equipped with underfloor heating.
The first floor welcomes you with a large living/dining area featuring an open kitchen and offers plenty of space for the whole family. The integrated kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and induction cooktop, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, toaster, and electric kettle—there’s even a food processor.
The solid wood table and the spacious sofa arrangement seat 6 people. A flat-screen TV, DVD player, and stereo system provide entertainment, and there are also some books, travel guides, DVDs, and games available. The living area features a wood-burning stove that provides cozy warmth. A starter pack of firewood is provided.
Also located on the first floor are a guest restroom with natural light, a sauna with a glass front, indirect lighting, and color-changing lights, as well as a shower.
A utility room with a washing machine, clothes rack, vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, and cleaning supplies is available.
For small children, a travel crib with a mattress, a high chair with a baby insert, a changing pad, a potty, and a toilet seat, as well as a handcart, are available.
On the upper floor, you’ll find two spacious bedrooms (15 square meters each) and a bathroom with a bathtub under the bat-wing dormer; a separate shower, towel warmer, and hair dryer are provided.
The bedroom facing the lake is furnished with a double bed (180x200) with nightstands, a full-sized closet, a small desk, and a second TV.
The second bedroom, facing south, has two single beds, each of which can be pulled out to create four sleeping spots. A large closet, a dresser, and two nightstands provide plenty of storage space for everything you need on vacation. The wool rug is perfect for playing on (some toys are also provided).
Shutters are provided to block out the light, and pleated blinds are installed on all windows for privacy. Your vacation begins right away—bed linens, towels, and bathrobes for the sauna are included, and the beds are already freshly made on the day of your arrival.
The south-facing terrace is furnished with patio furniture, and the large garden, complete with sun loungers and a private beach chair, is perfect for relaxing and playing. An electric grill is available for use.
There are 2 parking spaces directly on the property. You can also charge your electric car at the charging station here; the electricity is included in the rental price. All electricity, including that used for heating, is sourced from renewable energy.
Since our vacation home is primarily designed for families with (young) children, smoking and dogs are not permitted.
