Stylish Morpeth Cottage with Log Burner, Garden and Free Parking

Appearance, cleanliness, facilities, speed and kindness of response from the hosts when we had queries. Proximity to the town and railway station.

It really is very close to the railway line, so it was unfortunate that we came when the weather was so hot - we couldn't have the windows on that side of the house open because of the noise. I am sure normally it wouldn't be an issue, as it isn't too bad with the windows closed.

Stylish and very comfortable with all the amenities needed (with the exception of a washing machine for longer stays). Nice, quiet area which felt very safe and is in walking distance of the train station and not far from town. Would highly recommend.

Nothing, though some may not like the proximity of the railway line.

This was a lovely cottage in a quiet cul-de-sac with it's own private parking. Everything was on one level. I did not meet our host but her communication was excellent and helpful. The welcome gift was a lovely touch. Morpeth is a beautiful place with lovely views along the river. It is walkable from the cottage but uphill on the return so maybe not for the less able. The actual cottage was extremely clean, lots of storage, lovely bathroom and no shortage of hot water. Cleaning cloths and products were supplied as well as toiletries if needed. We have dietary requirements so brought frozen meals with us and utilised the large freezer, microwave and cooker. We were blessed with a heatwave which contributed to a fabulous stay. The train line behind the cottage did not bother us. We very soon got used to that and the level crossing as only background noise.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped.

Very close to the railway line (which I knew up front). Needed to make sure I was in bed by 11 as trains stop then and start again around 7am.
