Free off street parking Georgian style Bath apartment

Great location on Walcot Street - an interesting short walk to town down this street of independent shops and businesses. We were worried about noise at night as the main bedroom is almost at street level, but it wasn't a problem. Having a parking space was really useful. Check in was easy and the host was quick to respond to our query about parking.

The accommodation is in a very convenient location, right next to the town centre, restaurants and the main landmarks. All the main sites were within around a 10-minute walk, which made it very easy to explore the area without needing to drive. The free parking was also a big positive, as it meant we didn’t have to pay extra to park in a car park further away. The garden was lovely, with seating and a beautiful view. Access to the house was straightforward, and the instructions were clear. I also appreciated receiving photos in advance, which made finding and accessing the property much easier.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness was a significant issue. There were lots of hairs on the bedding, pillows and cushions, as well as dust in the corners and around the headboard. We would have been happy to do some additional cleaning ourselves, but there were no suitable cleaning tools available. Providing a small handheld vacuum, cleaning wipes for surfaces and some basic bathroom cleaning products would be helpful. We also stayed during a weekend of very hot weather. There were two fans provided, one for each bedroom, but the person sleeping in the living room had no fan. As the building is quite old and the windows only open a small amount, the living room became extremely hot and uncomfortable. I contacted the owners, but unfortunately they were unable to provide an additional fan. With summers likely to become warmer, it would be worth providing additional fans, particularly for guests sleeping in the living room. Overall, the location, free parking, garden and ease of access were excellent, but the cleanliness and lack of ventilation/fans did affect our comfort during the stay. With some improvements in these areas, the accommodation could be much more enjoyable.
