Nice house but felt unsafe and not clean

It was in a good location and the house itself was lovely

There were loads of rats in the garden to which we couldn’t then use this facilities due to there being so many and not wanting them to get in the house. Also the house didn’t lock from the inside, so at night we couldn’t lock ourselves in safely when I let the owners know this after day one they didn’t fix this issue so we had to sleep the other night unsafely too (anything could of happened). It just meant we were worried at night and meant we couldn’t fully relax when you’re paying a lot of money you don’t want to feel unsafe. Also on day one there were maggots in the bathroom some alive (on the bath) some dead on the floor, just made us feel it wasn’t very clean when they are supposed to have property’s cleaner prior.

Relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable leisurely family break.

Beautiful property, well decorated, beds were really comfy to sleep in. Kitchen was really well equipped everything needed for a great and comfortable stay. Location is fabulous so easy to walk to the town centre, No 1 royal crescent, Jane Austen museum.

We had a slight issue in the property but this was dealt with promptly and we were moved to a different property.

A nice modern basement flat with easy access into Bath, suitable for up to 6 people

Great location for access into Bath. Comfortable modern finish to a basement flat. Beds were super comfy.

Property should not be for charged for eight people! There is not enough lounge space for everyone to sit together which was a shame. There wasn’t enough cutlery for eight. There was lots of mould in the bathroom, and the shower head sprayed out in every direction but down. The garden was a health hazard, caked in bird poo on the hand rails that clearly had not been cleared for some time, making it completely inaccessable.

It was in a central location.

The garden was full of pigeon excrement, to the absolute extreme and made the area feel unhygienic and dirty. Upon arrival the code provided was incorrect. If the cleaner hadn’t been in the surrounding area we would not have had access to the property. It is rated as “wonderful” but isn’t a true reflection.

Superb

Gorgeous apartment, fantastic location, five minutes walk to central Bath and some cute little bars and cafes on the way including the Bath Cider House which is fab. Nice open space, quiet location yet still central. Accommodation spotlessly clean, good facilities and beds very comfortable. Stayed with some friends as a long overdue catch up and it was great, the Christmas market opened the last day we stayed which was perfect.

Just be careful with the shower as the water was scalding hot and couldn't be adjusted. Unable to shower properly as it was actually burning my feet whilst I tried to adjust it so had to get out. We asked the host and were advised to turn the boiler down which we did but was not much different. Be vigilant if you have kids as it could give them a nasty burn if not careful. Have notified the host and they've promised to send a maintenance team down.

Photos showed a excellent property however when we arrived outside areas not clean enough to use, therefore we were not able to use fire pit or outside area. There was a broken window, auto closure leaver to from door broken, no sign to say mind head to low entrance to bedroom 3, broken centre table, sofa bed broken and torn - did not open. Shower temp kept changing, broken drinking glass, freezer door did not close due to build up of ice. Photos does not indicate not suitable for those with mobility issues.

Loved the location but poor value for money

Location was wonderful and beds were comfortable.

Damaged couch, dodgy freezer and overpowering aroma throughout from scented sticks (I presume to disguise damp odours?) and noise from upstairs neighbours . Plus only 1 toilet and only 1 hand towel for family of 6 staying 4 nights. Was greeted with a dead rat on the bottom of the “garden” stairs the night before we left - I know it’s inner city but unpleasant to see nonetheless. I had read about pest control issues in prev review but was thinking of pigeons as being the pests! Also be aware one of the roads is located under the road!

Great experience in Bath

Location was great, in a quiet street yet within minutes walk of The Crescent and other ‘got to see sights’ in Bath. Free parking for one car with a permit was a lovely bonus. The kitchen was very well equipped, the apartment was clean and the photos of the apartment accurately reflected decor and furnishings. It is a lovely characterful apartment. The outside terrace area with wood burner was a great way to relax in the evening after a day’s sightseeing.

We spent lots of time waiting to use the bathroom in the mornings - only one bathroom for our group of 6 adults wanting to shower etc! We were aware of this when booking and realise that older properties do not always have the plumbing necessary for additional facilities but it may be more of a problem for some people. The sofa bed was broken, the supporting back rest fell away if leant on, and provided no support at all! We noticed it had been reported as broken in early July, on the apartment’s reviews by previous visitors, and assurances given that it would be repaired. This has still not happened. It meant that the seating provided did not comfortably seat us all, disappointing!

the sofa bed was damaged (we were told it is being replaced) and had a plumbing issue which the team got resolved. In spite of this we still enjoyed the property and it didn’t cause us too much inconvenience

The location

We were really disappointed with our stay at the wonderful apartment Bath. It’s seems the company the host uses is purestay that take there time to get back to you. one of the staff that I did get to talk to was very rude in her manner of handling our complaint. i’ll explain a little when we arrived at the apartment there was no hot water for a shower and travelling for 4 hours that’s the first thing we really were looking forward to we were told to Press the reset button of the boiler which we wasn’t comfortable to do as it wasn’t the same sort of boiler that we are used to. no one come out to sort it out but luckily enough in the morning there was lukewarm water. On arriving also there dehumidifiers were flashing red so we had to empty them they were big trays so I was surprised that they were completely full. The cleanliness was disappointing they were marks still left on the side table the tv was really smeary. The sofa bed had a big split at the front and overall wasn’t very sturdy. The freezer had 3 compartments 2 of them were full of bags of ice one of the compartments did not close properly it’s nice being left ice but you did not need two of the compartments to be taken up. Also you could tell that the freezer needed defrosting as the accumulation of ice at the top was stopping the door from shutting.

Friendly note that the wifi instructions sent on mail/message didn’t match the written ones. Could not really get the temperature of the shower water down to a reasonable level even though we reduced the temp of the heater by the entrance. Minor! warning that the sofa was broken on the part closest to the window where the backrest fell backwards if you leaned towards it.

A weekend to remember

It was close to all the local attractions. It was perfect for what we needed. The apartment was quirky and cosy, and has everything you need to have a wonderful stay Purestay were fantastic and always on hand if we needed anything. For example on of the beds had broken, we messaged them and they sent someone straight to us to fix it. We would definitely be staying here again

Fabulous city, beautiful apartment.

The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Great location for exploring the city on foot, pack comfy shoes as the up hill walk back is certainly a good work out!

The only niggle was that the shower was uncomfortably hot. Even when adjusted to the lowest setting it was too hot to stand under to wash. 5 of us stayed and all had this experience whilst some also were treated to a blast of freezing water. Maybe the thermostat?

Can not praise this apartment enough - a fantastic place in the Center of Bath - just as described!

So conveniently located in the center of Bath, this apartment was ideal for our family of 5. We had everything we needed for our 4 night stay and even had the bonus of a car permit too. The apartment was very welcoming. All the furniture, sofa's /beds etc looked great but more importantly were very comfortable. (Loved the green velvet sofa - where is it from?). We would definitely recommend this place to family & friends wanting to stay in Bath.

-If there was a 2nd toilet available - that would make things easier for larger groups staying. -It rained during our the last night - we could hear water pouring down - so there may be a drainpipe/guttering issue that needs seeing to.( perhaps not your issue but with an apartment above yours). - The radiator in the 3rd bedroom (to the right of the front door) was not working.
