The Birdy Retreat Ella

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in Ella. Wären gerne länger geblieben. Liegt sehr ruhig. Frühstück war super! Guter Ausgangspunkt für den Little Adams Peak und die Nine Arch Bridge.

Clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms with coffee and tea, soap and shampoo, fresh towels, bins etc. Easy walking distance to town but slightly tucked away so you are away from the hustle and bustle.

This property has four rooms, two upstairs and two downstairs. We had booked three rooms. When we arrived, the owner told us that they would set up breakfast on the balcony/terrace adjoining the top room so that we could enjoy the bird life. There were other guests staying in the second room on the top level and whilst we were eating breakfast, they were constantly smoking, which ruined breakfast. The owner was not around and the housemaid did not intervene. This was understandable because the work of her role is to serve breakfast and clean the bedroom, not manage the property. When we raised this matter with the owner via a phone call, he said this is the first time he has come across this issue. However, the owner had made the decision to leave ash trays on the terrace so it is difficult to understand how he did not know people would smoke on the terrace. The next day, they set breakfast up downstairs so they did make a change. The owner then told me that in the past, a guest had requested an ash tray, which is why they are there. Unfortunately, when we arrived, it was late and we did not see the ash trays but we would have preferred honesty when the incident happened, rather than false information. I would suggest they create a separate smoking area and be more present and active to support guests, if any questions or concerns arise.

Trato 10/10 por parte del personal, a 500 metros de la calle principal, todas las comodidades y súper limpio.
