Saveen View Ella

Es war eine der besten Unterkünfte, die wir in unseren 6 Wochen in Sri Lanka hatten. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön (wenn auch steile Anfahrt, wie bei vielen Unterkünften in Ella), Rammya und ihr Mann sind sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend, einfach sehr liebenswert und wohlwollend! Wir konnten alles fragen und wurden sehr gut unterstützt. Das Essen (Frühstück und Dinner) war fantastisch!

La guesthouse é molto bella, immersa nel verde e lontano dal caos del centro di Ella. La camera molto spaziosa, pulita e con uno spazio esterno fruibile. I proprietari sono due persone molto gentili e disponibili a dare informazioni e cercare soluzioni per spostamenti e necessità. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo cenato con un buonissimo curry e le colazioni sono sempre curate ed abbondanti. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. La struttura dista dal centro circa 20-30 minuti a piedi, ma la tranquillità del posto è la gentilezza dei proprietari ripagano lo sforzo. Consigliatissimo!

Nice location with a friendly family, great home cooked food by the lady of the house. Nice view into the valley and surrounding hills. Clean quiet place. However, it feels more like a homestay than an inn. That being said we would give a 9 out of 10 for the friendly lady of the house whom was very hospitable and an amazing cook!

The owner of the house is also tuk tuk driver! At first this seems like a nice perk but soon became frustrating since we didn’t feel free to use other tuk tuks. We felt dependent and unable to do/ go as we please. He would constantly insist we use his service and see his suggested destinations. Upon our final departure he managed to send away our separately arranged long distance private taxi and replaced it with one of his friends taxi vans pretending to be our arranged taxi. The driver didn’t know where to take us and waited around town to pick up extra passengers. Totally scamming everyone involved and out of line. We feel terrible saying this since we do feel the homestay has potential and the food / view was amazing.
